I am astonished by your perfect, professional answer - I never received a betterone on youtube. As I recognized, you are a great professional classics accordionist. I do know that my playing (at that point) was far away from beeing perfect and on classics training is everyting. I did not want to spend too much time on thisone - my aim is Bach's Toccata and Fuge. Thank you anyways... I guess, I will have to change my technique a little bit due to your perfect hints. 5***** for your post !

Hallo Lisa ! Danke !

Time is a healer... and the more you train yourself, the faster you'll get to the point. It's all about training, listening, understanding, emotion, energy, a strong will for not giving up on difficulties - overcoming bad moods. That's with all instruments including your voice as a singer. Training, training, training.... Never say: I can't do that. NEVER EVER. Everybody can, as long as you are physically able to push buttons and pull bellows - and if you do like making music.

Well Done. I noticed you were loking for some suggestions about your playing so here are a couple. Your bellow technique is excellent. I like the way you end a phrase with the bellows rather than just taking your finger off the button or key. Hand position is also good. I like how you keep your fingers close to the buttons and hand position over the keyboard. Here are a couple of general rules. Do not use your thumb on black notes unless it's a chord or playing octaves. When playing octaves...

great alain, it's not easy to play - especially the octave-jumps (something, i really hate to do - but it sounds good). This peace needs a lot of practice - exercise/training. I'm still fighting with it... ;-) best regards. Keep up your good work !

Danke.

@polarkreis201 A turkish march (or marcia alla turca) is composed in a specific style and using specific rhythm and instruments, usually cymbals, triangles, piccolos, bass... Beethoven used it in his symphony No. 9 as well as in Opus 113/4 (ruins of athens) and Mozart within its Piano-Sonata 11. So it is a reference to a specific way of arrangement or style - not related to modern way of turkish music.

Thank you. What do you like in special on my playing (registers, volume and so on...) Do you have any wishes for other classics that you'd like to hear beeing played on accordion ?

Your quite welcome. If you ever want some feedback just let me know. I would be glad to listen. Michael. P.S. sorry for some of the mis-spelled words. I was trying to type while my kids were jumping all over the room.

Klassik eben.

I used to play octave 1-5 (not 1-4, as you recommended) from my youth until now. What you write sounds logically. I will have some exercises and tests on what you said for sure... and I do have already some doubts: I am not very tall (midsize) and my fingers are not the longest ones - spanning the octave with 1-4 and jumping at the same time seems to be quite hard on a standard accordion keyboard.... but I guess it is mainly a question of training. I will see and feel... Thanks a lot anyways.

@polarkreis201 what do you mean when you say "played by a turkish" ? I am not turkish at all - and if I was so, what would it change ? Does it matter if this song was played by a german or turkish player ? Surely it is not a "turkish song" (but a classic song, from a classic composer instead). I do hope that you know why it was called "turkish march, Rondo alla turca" by Mozart. Do YOU ?

well, there are several pages on the web where you can buy - and some where you can get it for free (usually a simple version but sometimes even a good quality)... I don't want to promote here. Just use google and search for "accordion sheets" oder eventually additionally "free download". I'm sure you'll find some classics too - not only Mozart but Bach and others too. Most often you'll find piano-sheets. They can be converted to accordion pretty easy in most cases.

When playing octaves try not to use your pinky (5th) finger on the black notes. Use your ring finger (4th finger) on the black notes. You can also use your 4th finger on some white notes. This way you can keep your hand closer to the keybard and can play faster (if you want to) and smoother. Keep playing.

Don't worry - I am father too... knowing what you talk about.... and I will surely come back to your offer lateron. There is only one problem: my camera. It is not working right anymore and maybe just for some minutes. I'll have to give it another try on my Toccata-video within next month or two (guessing, I hope)... I am planning to split Toccata and Fugue for my start on it... so it doesn't take to long anymore until publication. Step by step... you know the rule. ;-)

Danke.

well... as you can see, this is not perfect as well. It's a question of how much energy you put into that... how much time you spent with it... how often you played it... how good (professional) your teacher/training was... and so on... but i guess, the main things are: - fun with/during playing and - the strong will/energy to continue playing even during hard times - continously exerciseing those are the three most important things to become a good musician (no matter what instrument).

Auflösung für die Nichtwisser: Believe It Or Not: I Laughed So Hard I Broke All My Furniture !
