This is thoroughly one of the best kamige in this industry, one of the glorious Nakazawa's works which surpass flawlessly the Zero Escape and the Infinity series in thriller/SF genre. The bond between the reader and the CAST is far deepened throughout the revelations and the tear-jerking backstories of them.

I'd say I still prefer Zero Escape but this VN ties everything really nicely and it starts good, okay in the middle (sol route) but finishes far stronger at the end when you know the characters. It feels quite different from zero escape though

There is no world in which root Double could ever surpass Zero Escape. Well, perhaps in a world where the excellently written Route A continued on and the monstrously boring Route B was cut in it's entirety.

@@Arkaine197 Nah man. Zero Escape was trash lmao. Well the first one was alright, but VLR has so much BS trying to make shocking twists it ruins the experience and story. At least Root Double explained its sci-fi elements properly.
