Ronin Backrest and Carrier Rack Installation

It's been over three months since I bought my TVS Ronin 225, and I keep adding some accessories now and then for a more comfortable and safer ride. It is hard to find TVS Ronin accessories in the market, but I managed to contact one shop that deals in customizing different types of motorcycles, and they had a readymade backrest for Ronin. In this video, I have got a backrest and carrier rack installed on the Ronin.

Good design but Ill finished .The vertical pipes looks aweful. Wondering whether this carrier can withstand Good load without damaging the rear mudguard. This design with the OEM rear carrier brackets would have been aesthetically better

Looks okay when looked at from a closer range, in person. I don't put a heavy load on it, just a tailbag when riding for a destination intending to stay. Otherwise, the shopping bag for carrying groceries. I agree, it would have looked much better with the OEM carrier brackets. Thanks for watching the video.

Hi! No, I don't think installing it voids the warranty right. In fact, when I had asked the people at TVS if they could provide a backrest, they mentioned that there is no official backrest for Ronin, but I could get it from a shop. But, to be on the safer side, do get a confirmation from TVS.

How is the paint and overall finish of the carrier rack and back rest. Is it close to the company provided grab handle's finish that was removed?

The paint quality seems okay (although a little on the rough side). No, it is nowhere close to the company provided grab handle's finish. The quality of the grab handle provided by TVS is solid and the finish is smooth and superior.

@@sumitpandey4904 Hi, I have done my calculations based on a full tank and the number of kilometres run on that petrol. It comes to about 43 kmpl. Others have already done mileage testing videos using 1 litre petrol. U can have a look at that. Do check the videos by Real Auto Reviews.

Of course, less selling doesn't mean it's not good. It is a good bike. But parts availability after few years is a concern. And the bike seems over priced.
