Very good deep dive into this sword! It's still a favorite of mine. Love what you did with the grip wrap, which is probably the worst stock feature.

Thanks! Yea seems Chris is stepping it up a little bit based on the new #14 and #15 that just released.

I've been going back and forth between this one and their newest Arming sword. That new bastard sword looks interesting to me, too. I have the #9 from Ronin Katana that I like quite a lot. I just received one of their little model #12 Viking Swords that's taken me by surprise with how much I like it. I like it so much that I plan to pick up another one very soon. I never know how I'm going to feel about a sword until it's in my hands...

Yea you couldn't go wrong with either one honestly. Just depends on which type you prefer. The new #15 is a Type XVIII with a nice hollow ground cross section which is what differentiates it from this one. Personally I like this one a little more as the Type XVI is just a little more acute and I really like the Style 6 gaurd it features. But I'd be happy with both too, lol. I've been eying that one myself too!

I'm in the UK and struggle to source this one. Only the Knight shop do and they have no stock. Will wait for it as it looks a great sword. Would like to see some cutting with it as well.

Yea, being a long time member on SBG I know the headaches you folks have dealing with rhe vendors and laws over there. I would but sadly I've just lost interest in cutting and or doing cutting videos.
