It's super simple, if your messing it up it's because you have to do it in that specific order shown in the video, if you adjust say the tilt first, itl throw the camera weight adjustment out of wack and so on. If you follow it step by step it's pretty simple like 5 min process

_Ronin SC* Pan Axis unable to get ''Excellent''_ *SOLUTION* While doing the balance test, I tilt the Gimbal over 25-30°, I then get ''Excellent''. If I immediately balance test again at 15° I get ''Re Balancing Required'', so it is some kind of bug. Just balance-test it at around 30° and it's good. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem. An important piece of information that no one tells you. We have a very lightweight camera (a Sony ZV1) and it was too light to balance without an accessory (such as a phone or mic mount). When we added the mic, we were able to balance the tilt. I still have no idea when or if you need the motors running for different balance tests. It seemed like you did for all of them? I know at one point the motors went to sleep and when we turned them back on the pan balancing worked again. The video looked really good when we got it working, but the instructions are horrible.

Balancing the gimbal needs some practice once you have done it a lot of times I started to understand how this awesome gimbal needs balancing and by using a appropriate quick mount there is no need to balance it every time you use it. Btw I use a Sony VZ 1 without changeable lenses, that also saves a lot of time balancing. I really like the Ronin SC app it works flawlessly and I always Autotune, in the Ronin SC app, to fietsen the gimbal before using it. I have used other gimbal in the past and this gimbal is the easiest gimbal to use!!

I just purchased this and was able to get it to balance yesterday morning. After that I spent all day trying to balance for some reason I can't get the tilt to balance. I have a panasonic gx85. I can't use any of the app features because no way to connect ronin sc to this camera model.
@kingsley153 жыл бұрын
The tilt is probably the most difficult of the 3 balancing steps. Make sure you're balancing at a 45 degree vertical angle if you have anything on your camera's hot shoe mount. If you feel you've manually balanced everything then launch the Ronin app and perform the balancing test, see what your score is, if it's excellent or good then move on to the motors auto tuning. From my experience, sometimes even after getting all excellent for the balancing, my motors still kinda act weird until I complete the auto tuning. As for your camera, you have a Panasonic just like me (I've a Lumix G7). If your GX85 has the jack input for shutter control, then just purchase the *DJI Ronin SC Part 9 - RSS Control Cable for Panasonic Camera* . You don't get this cable with the Ronin, only the Type-C and Sony multi camera cables. Once you purchase the Panasonic one, you'll be able to connect and control your camera with the Ronin. I've just finished recording my in depth unboxing and set up videos for the Ronin-SC Pro Combo. I'm using the Panasonic G7 for the set up. Videos will be uploaded in future.

@@kingsley15 Thanks for the response bro! I'm having other issues as well. I think holding the trigger is supposed to lock the gimbal. Mine still sways. It could just be me but it is difficult to keep things centered. I don't know if this is proper procedure but In order to do a 360 around my subject I have to manually lock pan and roll axis. Is a gimbal supposed to sway and move so much? Maybe be I need to practice my techniques. I don't know what else to do...
@kingsley153 жыл бұрын
@@dancrosby6091 No problem at all, I'm happy to help any way I can. Holding the trigger locks a point of view. So let's say you have your camera pointing at an area, if you hold the trigger, your camera will basically lock to that area even if you turn and twist the gimbal handle. For a 360 shot of a subject, I prefer to use the Pan Follow mode or Active Track. My first choice would be pan follow, I normally set the speed to high and then walk around the subject while always aiming my camera at the subject. One thing to note, you have to walk really smooth, bend your knees while walking around your subject. Also make sure you're turning your gimbal handle slowly and smoothly, while always keeping a direct view of the subject... I think a lot of people don't really do this because they assume the gimbal should be perfect to all movements. You should still pretend you're not using a gimbal and try to move slowly and smoothly. If you want to take sporty shots, then try FPV mode. You're right, it's all about practice - practice makes perfect. I spent about 8 to 10 hours just for learning and testing (🥴), I genuinely learned so many things every hour, it all feels like second nature now. I have the focus rig set up as well and that was kind of daunting at the beginning, now I set everything up to perfection in less than 10 minutes. Keep at it, this is a fantastic gimbal, it just takes some getting used to 🙂. Drop a comment here if you need more help, or have more questions.
@dancrosby60913 жыл бұрын
@@kingsley15 Thanks again. I understand better how the trigger lock works now. You can make slight twisting movements etc. but you have to be smooth and can't over do your movements. I'll have to try pan follow for 360 around subject b/c I can't connect gx85 b/c it doesn't have remote port. I was torn between g7 and gx85. I went with gx85 because of extra lens and IBIS. I'LL keep practicing. It takes some getting used to. I thought this thing was broken it seems so hard to control. I'm sure in time I'll get better. I already have a better feel for the trigger lock feature. Still can't balance tilt to save my life. However I balance the other 2-axis and I am consistently getting excellent on all axis in balance test. Thanks again. I'm subscribing to your page right now bro! Blessings👍

@@bobbyiii5534 Hi, there. For this question, we do not have an official or optimal answer for transportation. We would recommend you to carry the device and camera in a secure and portable way, avoiding liquid and a huge external shock. Thanks for your understanding and support.

@@rappercentral703compared to Other branded gimbals they were a lot more forgiving in the stabilizing process. I’ve tried balancing this gimbal for the past 3 months with no success. Even after following the steps over and over, it goes straight to sleep mode

Hard to do. Lots of things to adjust and check. Should have been simple and short. Or it should have the ability to check its own balance.

Hi there, to accurately judge whether Ronin-SC is completely balanced, you can connect it to the mobile device, launch the Ronin APP, find the "motor parameters" setting, click "more parameters", and check the power values of the pan axis, pitch axis, and roll axis. After the Auto Tune is completed, the smaller the power value, the better the balance status. If it exceeds ±5, it is recommended that you re-adjust the mechanical balance before performing Auto Tune.

There is noooooo way to balance this gimbal with phone attached to it. Impossible!!! You can't use active track mode without phone attached to gimbal 😑😑😑
@DJITutorials3 жыл бұрын
Hello there, to get a perfect balance also depends on the camera and the smartphone model you used. We suggest to use the model that we listed on the compatibility list www.dji.com/support/compatibility?product=ronin-sc. If possible, please send us your camera model for us to check, thank you.

Ronin SC is a piece of junk. First 10 times of use it was pefect, then it's said that pan is axis not balanced(it was balanced pefectly) and I hear some scruchy noises near pan axis motor. My project was in proces and corona isolation dont let me bring it to service centre so I decided to fix it by myself. I fix a problem, but the impression was very bad. Don't buy this dogsh!t.

@@DJITutorials The problem was in wire that comes trough pan axis. When it spins, the wire do some kind of micro jump and the program thought that pan axis not stabilized. I just fix the wire and the preblem is gone, but i affraid that may be the problem after some time of use.
