Please join in on our Rōnin “Combat Pistol” Course hosted by Whistling Pines Gun Club in Colorado Springs, CO. In this video, I talk over my training evolutions through-out my military career. Understand how I gathered data from my time in combat and translated it to develop combat fundamentals during my training. Join me as I discuss the relationship between the size of target, distance, shooters ability and how this affected my processing of information on the battlefield. In this video, I talk over how to properly train for conflicts and how to prepare and train the mind to process through these complex situations.
Tu Lam (Retired U.S. Army Special Forces- Green Beret) -23 Years Full Spectrum Warfare, U.S. Army Special Operations worked throughout 27 countries worldwide. Team-Leader assignments in Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Special Reconnaissance, Hostage Rescue, Direct Action and Counter-Terrorism Operations in permissive and non-permissive environments. Been going to the range every Sunday for awhile now. We draw from the holster and do different drills. EVERY time Mr. Lam puts a video up, I'll watch it over and over and take what I can to my Sunday morning. This Sunday will be "ratchet your grip, find the front sight" - "find the front sight". Thank you so much for the vids. 🙂👍

When you get to an instructor level of training you have a compassionate heart for your students and you want them to do well, but the world is cruel and they need to know the real deal. I love how he is so invested in his students and his drive for perfection shows his love for his trade. I always said a true craftsman masters his craft... Perfection!

Those people have most likely never been in a life or death situation, regardless of adrenaline if someone comes at you with a firearm you put as many rounds as it takes for them to stop moving. Most people without any knowledge or experience would probably say 2 rounds is enough, that is until you put 2 rounds into a threat and they don't go down. He's talked about this before in other videos, most basic firearm training teaches you to double tap a target, yet in his experience at close ranges he HAS put 2 rounds into a hostile and they didn't go down. If your life is in danger you fire until you're certain they're not going to send a round back at you, it's litteraly the difference between life and death.

Thats why you join him or either leave him be, Tu doesn't strike me as a guy that Doesnt have a plan inacted if a critical situation Arises. Like society crumbling. Tu probably has multiple plans to get out of dodge. . . . he probably has alot of MRE's, hes definitely has guns and plenty of ammo. Maybe Tu wouldn't even go out and try and take what he needs because he already has what he needs, i think he'll only kill if people get in his way. I don't think he'll seek out kills. Just my 2 cents. I will say hes an extraordinary asset to have in SHTF sitiations.

You train at 160-170 bpm because anything over 115bpm people start losing fine motor skills, 145bpm you lose complex motor skills, as you reach 150 bpm gross motor skills such as running, jumping, punching and kicking become enhanced. Once you reach upwards 175bpm Catastrophic motor skill breakdown may happen. So what it means is you have to train at the worst possible physiological conditions in order to have the muscle memory and weapon positioning needed to instinctively act on your situation. Stress fire is really important....

Just came across your videos. Awesome content and good to see the methodology that goes into combat. Can't even own guns in Scotland anymore, so I can't even practice. Don't get me wrong never really in a situation where I'm threatened or need to use any kind of force anyway, but it would be good to just be able to go to a range and practice firing and also the world is a powder keg, always has been, always will be. Peace if tempremental, it's never a constant. Any minute that powder keg can ignite and if you are not ready, then what chance do you have. Sucks most of Europe will never have the right to bear arms ever. Maybe one day it will change, I don't know, don't holding my breath that it will be in my lifetime anyway.

Way way wayyyyyy harder to run a pistol proficiency under pressure with speed at distance. I can’t believe someone else said he was “too much” 😅like no I could watch all day. I’ve never found such a informative channel and appreciate every ounce of knowledge/experience he’s willing to share. I wish someone showed me his “how to grip a pistol” video before I ever shot one for the first time cause the explanation is second to none! The people he’s teaching aren’t beginners oftentimes their police officers/swat/ guys that can benefit from a higher level of teaching, I couldn’t think of a better teacher!

@dakotadragoon8404
@dakotadragoon8404 4 жыл бұрын
Jonathon Bridges I’m my experience it’s mostly just the anticipation of the recoil. Knowing that a small explosion is about to sound off next to your head and you’re preparing yourself to get hit. But that’s just what I’ve found with myself.
@jonathonbridges9625
@jonathonbridges9625 4 жыл бұрын
@@dakotadragoon8404 well the obvious quick solution would be a lighter trigger which i might do anyway. Can't anticipate if it goes boom before you can blink🤣. I did shot something that had a trigger pull of .15 lb. That was unreal.
@dakotadragoon8404
@dakotadragoon8404 4 жыл бұрын
Jonathon Bridges a trigger might help, yeah. Mostly I just had to focus on a smooth trigger pull and not flinching. Through a LOT of reps doing this I don’t flinch sub consciously as much if any now. I will occasionally yank a round or two if im not abiding the proper techniques and in a hurry to just get a round off.

I might be late to the party, but Ronin's training is the most useful I've seen anywhere. I'm paying as close attention as possible to ramp up my abilities with my pistol and AR as quickly as I can, and all of these Ronin videos are extremely valuable to me. I will join a class if you come to my area of Texas. Thanks so much for all you and your team do!
