Soto>Acuna with defense included. Sotos offense is just so much better than anyone else’s in the MLB, that It doesn’t even matter his defense and speed.

Acunas arm is worse than Sotos, and Acunas contact is terrible(Hence being in the 54th percentile for xBA and 29th for whiff%🤮) Oh yeah and his k% is in the 14th% while Sotos is in the 91st) Soto has the better arm hence the outfielders jump percentile(While neither were necessarily good, Soto was better with throwing runner out) And Soto has stolen more bases over the past three years than Trout, so if he’s a 5 tool player than Sotos got the speed as well. SOTO-Power, Arm, Contact, Speed ACUNA-Speed, Power, and Defense

The thing about Acuna is that he is a REALLY good offensive player, but not in the Yelich, Soto, Trout, Cruz of the world. What makes him special is that he is an above average hitter with great speed and solid defense. Don’t forget that speed Deminishes with age.

He seemed to be getting a lot of front spin on the ball at the beginning of the season when he made contact. My theory is that since he has almost no load, which is the reason I think he’s so special btw, it takes him a while to build up the strength he needs at the start of the season.
