I like how on that last dunk Ronnie started stepping to the beat on the way to the sideline. Thanks for posting!

Watched him and KG go off at the west proviso tournament when I was a kid. KG banged a 3 first possession, think he went for 26. Fields went for more, it was a clinic. A sight to see. Both lived up to the hype and then sum.

Played against both Garnett and Fields. Fields was the next Jordan. I feel bad for him. God had other plans for him.

He was a 6'2" 2-guard who couldn't shoot, dribble, pass, create his own shot, shoot ft's, go left or play defense. Even if he had never had the accident, he wouldn't have made the league. Truth hurts, it just is what it is.

Everyone makes mistakes they need programs for these kids to get back on track dont take his God giving talent away because of mistakes he made in his life the basketball world was suppose to know about this guy ability
@STEEPPOW Жыл бұрын
This is misconception. The entire basketball world knew of his ability. If there is anything in the world that forgives and forgets, it is pro sports. If you have the talent. And he did. But his ceiling changed after the car crash and breaking his neck. That is what kept him out of the league. Not people thinking he was a “bad person”. His overall physical condition changed after the crash. He was lucky he lived.

Ronnie was the greatest high school basketball player ever... I seen Penny in high school down at Tresvant but he was no where close to Ronnie... LeBron is second place to Ronnie and he still wasn't close... #PistonGang

He was 6-2 but dunked like a guy 6-6. Haven’t seen that since - the wingspan the hands and the hops! Even though guys like morant and Westbrook are amazing in the air , this guy played even bigger in the air !

The best High school player ever was not Ronnie fields he was nasty but Lebron James was different I saw Lebron live at ABCD camp in Teaneck New Jersey he was a treat to watch. Ronnie was a great dunker but skills weren’t on the same radar as James and OJ Mayo was a treat as well
@Jon-de9im10 ай бұрын
I think you’re right on that one. I don’t think any other high school player has had any more hype going into the senior year like LeBron. Everyone in the world new LeBron was before his senior year in high school. He pretty much beat all the elite teams in the country by himself. He was one of the first players to have his high school games nationally televised.

You might think I’m crazy on this one, but Brandon Jennings was a hell of a high school player. Actually, I thought he was a better high school player than James Harden and field. I stayed his senior year in California. He would probably have been one of the best HS players to ever come out to California. Over Jason Kidd.

I hate to reiterate, Ronnie Fields, believe me, Michael Jordan is the man above men. He’s God in my eyes, but this young brother right here he was the second coming of greatness. It’s sucks that he got hurt. He has so much potential so much Atletico talent and ability I’m telling you he was Michael Jordan Junior down God bless you Ronnie

His dunking was nice and all, but you can see when he's at the free throw line how awkward / funky and unnatural his shooting form was. Hitting a whole lot of rim on his shots.
