WHY ISN’T GEORGE SEIFERT IN THE HOF??? He won 2 titles and had one of the highest winning percentages in NFL history, including the most in 49ers history. He was part of the team when they won the first 3 championships as well. I really don’t get it. If Tom Flores is in, there is absolutely no justification why George isn’t in. He has more wins and playoff wins than Tom Flores and did so in 1 fewer season. What a joke, Seifert belongs in the Hall of Fame.

I also believe helped the Panthers in the long run for pulling the plug on continued mediocrity and blowing things up there, which made John Fox's job a little easier.

Seifert was an innovator on the defensive side of the ball was the DC for Super Bowl winning teams and won 2 super bowls as head coach. His resume stacks up against Dungy who is in the hall. Why not Seifert?

Generally people who argue that Siefert doesn't belong in Canton cite the fact that he became head coach of a team with a lot of talent who was a defending champion, and that when he was handed a worse team in Carolina, they didn't become anything of note (not to mention the 1-15 team in his last season). Some also cite the high amount of free agents they got before 1994. Me personally, I would say he's at least a Hall of Very Good caliber coach (I could see the arguments both ways, but I wouldn't call him terrible), and like most people who ultimately became an NFL head coach, his time as a coordinator is overlooked.

I think Walsh was done. He became erratic with his decision making. Blew it in the 87 playoffs against the Vikings and he almost blew it in 88 but they made a miraculous run. I just think Bill was done at that point.
@jpete3027666 Жыл бұрын
@@jlee161 yep and that '88 team won in spite of Walsh and not because of him. The QB controversy Walsh created that year nearly ruined the season. It was the players that stood up and said we aren't taking this anymore and took the season into their own hands, so I agree with ya! The same team came back in '89 without Walsh and is considered one of the best teams ever.

If Joe Montana doesn't get knocked out that game, they beat Buffalo, and maybe Steve Young doesn't become Steve Young, they would've had to prolly trade him after Joe got 3 in a row, and would've been favored the following year to get 4 in a row
