@gerv5510 жыл бұрын
Dave Cremin It works as running side though taking the ball along a wider angle.
@davecremin696510 жыл бұрын
***** nope, running side would've been if he played top right on the white and followed through the black. In this instance it's reverse side, definitely.
@Zhaggysfaction10 жыл бұрын
Dave Cremin You can talk about running and check side with reverse side. If the (reverse) side widens the angle it's running (reverse) side (like in this shot). If the side makes the cue ball come on a straighter angle from the cushion the it's check (reverse) side. Or the term might be reverse check side. It's determined whether it's check or running by what it does when it hits the cushion, not on what angle it comes of the object ball.

The highest snooker break in competition is Wally West's 151. He made the break in the final of a club handicap at the Hounslow Lucania Club in 1976 against Derek "Butch" Rogers, in front of about 100 spectators. The qualified referee John Posner was in charge of the match. Jamie Cope has actually had a witnessed 155 in a practice match!

Yes, but for it to be on in the first place is almost a near on miracle!!! I can't think it will ever happen televised, to be honest, purely because the circumstances have to be just so..and for 147's to be on in the first place aren't as often as a lot of people would think they are..let alone 155! If we ever see one televised? IF, I'd probably eat me pants lol cos I doubt it!

Ronnie later said in an interview that he didnt actually care about the money, he just likes to leave the black on sometimes when heading for a 147 to irritate the spectators.
@MrCarpmagic9511 жыл бұрын
Yeah the free ball does. I will explain the 155 break for you. Player has fouled, Leaves a free ball. The next player comes to the table (Nothing has been potted yet). He pots his free ball which will count as a red, ok. That is a break of 1. He then pots the black, that is a break of 8. All 15 reds still remain. He pots all 15 reds with blacks and then the colours for 147. Add the 147 to the 8 he has already has made with the free ball (red) and black and you have a break of 155.
