This was one frame. Max breaks don't win games. Consistency does. And let's be honest women don't really exist in snooker. She's the best example, she dominated women snooker world and it's been years for her constantly on top. Great accomplishment, obviously. But then she can't have a single word against top tier men snooker players with the best accomplishments of not losing so hard. I don't think Ronnie even took that match seriously, tbh.

At his best Ronnie is unbeatable. He's the greatest player I've ever seen. When I was around 15, I used to enter amateur tournaments, Ronnie was there too. He was a year younger than me, but even back then he drew a crowd. People wanted to watch him play. He was always going to be World Champion, it was never in doubt.

I can do constant breaks between 45 and 56 is my highest and I don't know how people can play in front of crows , our club isn't massive but few people would watch an instantly it put me off. Ronnie and Steven Hendry are my hero's, when Hendre was basically a baby in snooker but beating everyone my nan would wake me up to come watch I loved it cos was always early am games. But there was one guy who I thought this guy is going to be the best, from my town, Paul hunter, I don't remember who he played might have been Hendry or osullivan but he came back like 9 frames to win the championship , I was like how is he doing this and so focused and in the interview it was something like "my head had gone, I knew I'd lost but we had an intermission and I just thought well might as well bang the mrs backstage" 😂 when he went back to the table he just became a super human, gone too soon that lad 😔

i remember years ago i went to see ken doherty vs jimmy white in a exhibition in Ireland in about '99. ken doherty did a 146 in one frame then jimmy went in and did a 147 the next. it was absolutely brilliant. we were all jumping around the place celebrating, jimmy just smiled to the crowd. it only dawned on me the next day that these guys must do them all the time. its amazing to see it in front of your eyes though

Exhibitions for sure. No real pressure. Lad I used to play with (non pro) had a 147 the day Hendry visited the club in the 80s-90s. When Steven turned up, he played him and could hardly pot.

He's not done yet .. still a got an odds on chance to at least equal Hendry's record, but even if he fails to match it I still think all the triple crowns, 100' breaks, 147's and ranking tournament wins will leave him as the water mark to beat in years to come. As already mentioned in the comments, its his longevity at the top of the game thats mind boggling!! Imagine how much more he could have achieved if he had managed to tame his demons (well documented and openly talked about by Ronnie) earlier in his career!

Let's just enjoy him while we can, we.dont get many characters in sport these days, especially with such talent and so down to earth. Respect

Joe Davis, Alex Higgins, Steve davis, and Stephen Hendry were all snooker GREATS and took the crown from one another, but Ronnie O'Sullivan is the only snooker GENIUS who has ever lived and will ALWAYS be the king of snooker. The crown will always be his. There will never be another like him. It'll be a dark day for snooker and snooker fans when he retires. :(

To beat Ronnie you need a great strategy to win. Break his cue, tie his laces together, hire thugs to kidnap him. You know ... strategy.

No. You have to get the first red in and snooker him from all others - then you stand a small chance. Small.
