Juho Teittinen Wrong as Mark Selby is the current No1 ranked player. And is also the reigning World Snooker champion having won the last two 2016, 2017 back to back. What you should of said is O'sullivan is the most naturally talented snooker player ever. Ronnie does have five world snooker championships but at age 42 with his incredible Talent he should of at least matched Hendry's seven world championships.

It's not as easy as your comment sounds to match Hendry record of 7 world championships. He has won it 5 times out of 26 attempts and he is getting near retirement age.

I've watched thousands of snooker matches, live broadcast or on youtube, Ronnie is in a completely different league than Hendry. 80s and 90s were a completely different era where nobody rose up to challenge Davis and Hendry. Hendry won only 3 more ranking events after year 2000 (when he was 31), Ronnie won 33 tournaments consistently through out even at age 42. Hendry is more winning-hungry than Ronnie, and the only reason that can explain him stop winning tournaments at a prime age of 31, is the new league of players far surpass the skill levels of the old school. Currently even if we adjust for tournament differences, the centuries made today still FAR EXCEED the centuries made in 80s and 90s, even Davis said this himself, had there been as few tournaments as there were back in the 80s, today's players would've still made far more. 80s and 90s are without a doubt much weaker than 2000s and 2010s the last 2 decades, and Hendry at his prime when he's 30 vs O'sullivan at 42 is still no match, Hendry at 42 vs. O'sullivan at 42, Hendry would have almost no chance beating Ronnie. Had Ronnie been born 10 years earlier, he would've at least matched Hendry's records and Hendry's records would've been half of what he has today. Ronnie also went thru a period of mental troubles where Hendry had a smooth life. Skill-wise noone matches Ronnie, but on his bad day Ronnie just don't give a fk and loses simplest matches

I find it totally appalling that Ronnie has never received BBC Sportsman of the Year or a national honour. Harry Kane, Garth Southgate, etc receive a honour for winning nothing, yet Ronnie has shown genius skills in his chosen sport over many years, yet receives nothing! The joy and thrill he brings to snooker fans and beyond deserves recognition in its self!

I can only compare Ronnie Osulivan to Concorde. Unbelievable to watch, and in another league to every other player, when he ever retires we will never see his kind of talent again. He makes snooker exciting and enjoyable to watch. He should be paid £250,000 a week not the footballers who do 10 minutes work a week for ridiculous pay.
