i never knew what snooker was until one of O'sullivans 147 games came on my reccommended. as an american i can totally see the art of the game and I really wish they played in more often in USA

What's annoying is that not only does America play on the wrong sized table (in the rare cases they play snooker at all), but if I'm not mistaken they have changed the break rules so that a red has to touch a cushion on the break, also ruining the strategy there. Sad, I miss playing in the UK.

Since I heard Ronnie mention this, I've applied it to my game and it has made me more confident and better ball pocketer. Attacking the ball brings out a better and more consistent stroke.

Jassa Singh Tbh, it isn't. Watch videos of Barry Stark (Kyren Wilson's coach) and see if you still think the same. If you can get your all round game together watching only this one video then good but this doesn't include anything technical info, just things about psychology and mindset.

Indeed. On the ‘feeling’... one has a connection between the cue ball, object ball and pocket rather than shooting at it so to speak. And one can only attain said connection through lots of practise. RoS is being very humble here, for there is no other better connected. Always moving on the feather (and ready to try another shot), always looking to ‘move’ the cue ball, and attacks it with such finesse.

1. A lot of what Ronnie's saying sounds like Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon. Feel the white, feel the white, feel, feel, feel! 2. The break off - he didn't mention anything about putting top right hand side on the white with the outside right red he's hitting. I got that from Steve Davis. 3. "Look at John Higgins, Stephen Hendry, Mark Selby, Jimmy White, Steve Davis." Every Ronnie video he gives recognition to his colleagues. Top marks, man.

So much of what he's saying is so Zen-like. Especially around the 6:00 minute mark. The break-off, from the side Ronnie's white was on - to the right of the brown - requires a little top right hand side to hit the last red and bounce of the cushions back to baulk. Learned this from a Steve Davis TV appearance once.

How do you pick the contact / aiming point on the cue ball? i can see the aiming point on the object ball, directly opposite the pocket, but finding the aiming point on the cue ball is hard for me. Ghost ball does not work for me to well, i no something like that needs to be done though. thanks for telling us what you are looking at. it is a pleasure to watch Ronnie take the balls off the table.
