Absolutely Agree. Possibly, it's the reason Ali Carter has not realised his full potential! Ducking the medal was just plain bad sportsmanship. - For comparison, just look at the humility Judd Trump showed when accepting his medal a week later.

when carter split the reds off the brown, he showed emotion, ronnie would have a different belief/reaction, its not unlucky, its physics, it is what it is, he would have potted the red in the yellow pocket/possibly missed/but conserved energy and kept pressure on ali, thats how hes winning, mental and spiritual strength, you cannott substitute for emotional intelligence, and he knows it

Carter got humbled so damn good by Ronnie in last week's masters...he really thought he would win them mind games with Ronnie and that too in the presence of huge huge Ron's supporting fans...But the bitter truth also is he played better than Ronnie ...He couldn't handle the wild tweakin crowd after 7-7 ... Although he shouldn't have made those egoistic proud expressions when he was ahead of Ronnie nd winning frames...That backfired so brutally though😢

You mean currently? Because I'd put Jordan over lebron.
In the session that sees Carter's lead, of 5-3, reduced to 6 each, there is examples of why Carter is not a winner of Triple Crown events, certainly that fact is not emphasised by the poor commentary. The commentary is poor, because neither Doherty, nor Murphy, sufficiently, if at all, emphasise the poor shot-selection of Carter, at very important stages of the pertinent frames. Also, are we (as spectators, as viewers of snooker) determining the value of commentrary to be accurate with view to the snooker actualised before the audience, or is commentrary some sort of comedic endeavour? Neither Doherty, nor Murphy, fulfill the enhanced criterion, admittedly yet to be clarified and agreed-upon, as to the value, if any, and function of snooker commentrary, conversely, others do it better-by-far, not least Willie Thorne, Alan McManus and many others. I, therefore did not have the commentrary on, and i am of the view, many other such spectators, did likewise. Now, the issue with poor shot-selection I cite, that Carter achieves poorly, is based upon two factors in the example i invite fellow spectators of this match to consider, namely, the opportunity to pot a red was afforded to Carter, that also extends to provision of a pink thereafter, with left hand side positioning the cue-ball sensibly to continue henceforth, bizarrely, that is not actualised, whereupon the match overall, begins to favour O'Sullivan. What happened was that the second factor, I stipulate as harming Carter's achievements, as to winning titles occurs through a protracted safety exchange, whereupon, equally bizarrely, Carter (not least with commentrary complimenting Carter's 'matchplay' snooker!) effectively develops the reds in a safety shot, that sees the total sum of zero advantage to him in doing so, when in fact, an appreciation of actualising 'matchplay' snooker, therefore patiently enduring a protracted safety exchange determines an opportunity to Carter of significant value, certainly not a disadvantage, but instead, Carter affords his opponent the opportunity, through precisely no matchplay snooker attributes, whereupon O'Sullivan misses the attempted pot, and then something occurs again not recognised by commentrary, namely, Carter just gets down on the shot, and basically rushes the opportunity, when in fact, Carter should, and many times previously would, consider the opportunity by chalking the cue maybe, walking round to consider the positional side of the shot and none of that occurs, he just attempts the pot and what i describe is i think the balance between, on the one hand, continuing a rhythym and on the other hand, advantaging your opponent, who in the case of O'Sullivan is of meaning, as to you winning the Masters or not. Also, another meaningful consideration, is if a player is presented with the following circumstance, is it even intellectually recognised, is the player cognisant of the value, the actual meaning of what i now describe? Therefore, the circumstances are half a dozen or more reds fairly safe and scores fairly level, now, the player develops the reds far more so, in one shot, certainly to positions now able to be potted, but achieves zero snooker, or white stuck to the balk cushion or positioned in an advantageous position. In other words - what is the point of developing those reds, unless by equal measure, therefore within that same shot, the white is positioned in such a way, that your opponent is effectively diminished from exacting a safety shot, and potting any of the now developed reds? I think Carter upon reflection of his performance in this session could reasonably deduce he should certainly retain a lead, and i think these sorts of factors determine finalists, versus multiple winners and so i disliked the commentrary, unless you are a toddler or have no acumen or interest in snooker, conversely, i do like Doherty and his banter with Hendry on his YT channel, Murphy is just plain awful as a commentator and probably a very pleasant man, the issue is that McManus is far superior and many others are and seemingly the BEEB has diminished and i also noticed O'Sullivan wears trainers, which other players years ago would have cited as being an advantage and had a tantrum about, that he is permitted seems a marginal improvement generally, i also think i could do a better job commentating and i believe that.
