Yep. Up until 4-5 years ago I would've identified as liberal and jump to conclusions about anyone that's too far right to me. Now I realize I have wayyyy more common with conservative people than liberals. It's all just BS and both sides suck. We forgot to how to discuss things and accept hat others have a different perspective in life.

@@ReacherthebreacherHe sees the way in a 90’s kid sort of way. Like a 90’s kid with a normal upbringing that had some traumatic shit happen but was still somewhat okay. As soon as he stopped the video and asked, "Why is he a clown?" I gained a lot of respect for Ronnie. Common sense prevailed. I just got hooked on this band after watching the Last resort video. It's one of the most beautiful and intense songs I've ever heard (and I'm old.)

I mean, the guy is a clown...not because of his believes, but because he immediately jumps the gun calling someone konservative, just because someone doesn't like cancel culture. Then again, that's a problem that is caused by a two-party political system. Ronnie is just able to pick and chose for himself what he thinks is the best for HIM from either side of the political spectrum. It's something everyone should do. No one should subscribe to either side fully. Just my 2 cents.

@@robertross7028 Welcome to the #walkaway club my dude. Yeah the media lied/lies so much about my side and even we dont always agree with each other, or agrue with each other our views, but even still we'd never and have never throughout history been the racist or unwelcoming side. We've always tried to be tje big tent group that is open to debating and loving on anyone willing to check our side out. Much love my dude, and if u have any questions or need any guidance about it, lemme know. I'm a history buff and I'm very politically knowledgeable. And if I don't know something I'm honest about it and then I find the answers by doing a ton of research. I also enjoy hearing both sides and asking myself to see things from an unbiased lens so I know when I make a choice about something, I did it because I believe it's the right thing not just bc its something on the right side of the isle. You understood that he was joking and even though why you made this song isn’t about his interpretation of it, it’s a good thing. You didn’t try to ‘cancel’ his interpretation of it! Lol. Free speech is unfortunately political. That’s the whole thing, the canceling happens to those who don’t say or do what fits the agenda or narrative of the media, or the masses, or the whatever group is screaming at the moment. People are still being forced to wear masks? That's crazy, a Sheriff's Deputy friend of mine told me our state "Missouri" made it illegal to force people to wear masks if they do not feel like wearing them. I didn't really believe him at first, but I noticed shortly after that places like Walmart, and banks stopped telling me to go back to my car and grab a mask or leave. They also stopped offering masks. Hell a week after he told me this my sister came to my house one day, and told me they didn't have to wear masks at school, or have these weird bulky ass plastic dividers anymore.

I love this song to the absolute extreme. An ultimatum on society, for how we should act and talk. Anything that goes against that grain is targeted by the mob that can’t see past there own reflection, meaning what lie they built their image on, that they preserve. Zombies are great to portray this as we should be building our own images, not nodding and pretending that this level of comfort is freedom. We’re no longer recognizing what makes each other different but conversing with those who give us most comfort. What do we bring to the world by ruining and shitting on other people. Acting like anyone has a moral high ground Bc you never said anything edgy on Twitter or in public manner. We lose humanity when things like humor are shut down, tools that allow us to express ourselves. Humor is dark, music can be dark, painting can be dark. We open up ourselves up in these artistic avenues and make ourselves vulnerable. So fuck people who try to throw a knife in it because there life isn’t dynamic and dull. We’ve fought wars so people can express themselves or say what the fuck they want. So counter intuitive to try an strip it away. Good shit Ronnie and the team❤️ don’t tread on water, fuck that shit. Write your own life people!

I agree that people should be allowed to have their opinions. The issue with Knowles though was his opinion was slandering half of Americans (Liberals). I am a liberal and I believe Cancel Culture exists and I don't love how it is used wrongfully as Ronnie has said in the song. Blanket statements like Knowles said about millions of people like this are generally incorrect lol And I hope that people don't just believe him that all liberals are the problem because that is an extremely divisive thing to say when we really need to be working together as a country. Thanks, hope this all makes sense

I think most people realize that any group generalization is wrong. People need to focus on individual character again rather than assumed prejudices, even based on politics. It's all toxic.
@Britton_Thompson
@Britton_Thompson 2 жыл бұрын
You gotta keep in mind the most important thing here.... Conservatives have been the target of *A LOT* of inflammatory and harsh generalizations for the past 50 years by now themselves. You turn on the news, and whaddya see? Anchors telling you that the people who are patriotic and love their country are ruining everything. You watch a movie or TV series and what do you see? The villain would be considered a conservative if he existed in real life. So while it may perturb you to hear Knowles make a generalization that offends you, just know that he (along with all other conservatives who cover news and politics), have been the targets of unnecessary harassment whenever they go out in public, and organized efforts to have their shows taken off the air by radicals pressuring their sponsors to drop them simply because the progressives don't like what they say. Imagine living everyday knowing you could be cancelled and exiled at any moment simply because a certain group of people confuse speech they hate for hate speech. When you've had the same exact group of people trying to have your livelihood taken from you; your work purposely misrepresented to depict as a monster; or your character and integrity besmirched for no justifiable reason, you're eventually going to take the gloves off and start hitting back with the same tactics you've had to endure yourself.

Okay, so you believe that his opinion was slandering half of Americans, so now what? Basically, what do you mean by "the issue"? Your personal issue with his opinion, or an objective issue that counters the idea that everyone has a right to their opinion? Because no matter what, it's still his opinion, and he still has a right to say it. If this will help clarify things, there's a difference between the liberals he's talking about (though he's incorrectly using the term "liberal" and it's woke culture he's actually talking about) and the liberals who are just moderate democrats. So it's very likely that he's not talking about you, nor others like you. And if you want my two cents, in my opinion it's not true that blanket statements about millions of people are generally incorrect, it just depends on what kind of blanket statement is being made. On biology? Absolutely you can make blanket statements. On personality? Not really. On ideology, where collectivist mentality is at play? I think you can. But that's just my opinion, and you have every right to disagree.
@JasonsSongStop
@JasonsSongStop 2 жыл бұрын
@@hellawaits6544 He has a right to his opinion of course, but when he uses the term "liberals" he is referring to all liberals. If he specified specific types of people as you said whether it be moderate or extremist, he would be making a clearer statement about who he is talking about and avoid any mistaken accusing. I would just like the audience who watches this to not blame "liberals" as a whole mistakenly when he should've specified who he was blaming. Otherwise it comes off as fanning a flame and trying to make people choose sides rather than encouraging cooperation as a country.

Well said my guy. I think largely Ronnie is one of us but he has probably just never thought about it in those terms. I hate politicians but to ignore politics completely is to stand by while they take everything from you. I really love Tom too and he often talks about not picking a side. I get his good intentions but picking a side today is tantamount to choosing good or evil. More people need to choose and stand up! Fighting an evil government is the most punk rock thing you can do! But I've said it many times, the punks and the blacks have been duped.

17:20 this embodies what this song means perfectly. As soon as someone says something you don't agree with, you go apeshit and try cancelling them. Thank you for proving Ronnie's point XD

I like how you not really defend but when people are talking about Michael you ask them why. And explain that just because he has a different opinion doesn’t mean he’s dumb. We need more people who think for themselves in every aspect. Much respect Ronnie.

Love how just because someone has a different opinion, people straight up try to cancel that. Ronnie's a very smart and OPEN MINDED person, and so should you be.

Haha, I had the turbinate reduction done too. But, I also had major sinus problems and a broken nose so I just went for it and did the Maxillary Antrostomy, Septo Plasty, and Turbinate Reduction surgery all at the SAME TIME. Gross af bloody post op 1 month recovery. Life changing, though. No more sinus infections and I'm able to properly breathe through my nose again! What Ronnie is saying is valuable truth. If you're having issues breathing properly, it affects your quality of life and it's worth seeing a good ENT!

Ton of respect for understanding and accepting that people may have a different interpretation of your songs. Even though your intention for this song was not political, I can easily see why a message about being canceled would circle back to that in today's environment. Totally agree with you that too many things about Covid do not make sense and it's all about money and control. I saw it first hand when I lost my big brother to this illness last fall. Keep being true to yourself.

Cancel culture is highly political... while conservatives can disagree with you, all they do is a boycott not consuming the product they disagree with... meanwhile the woke cult will dox you, stalk you, try to make you end ur own life, ruin your public and private life if you disagree with them or make one thing that make them mad...

This guy is legit. I came here because of Michael Knowles original reaction. Wanted to see the reaction to the reaction (as stupid as that sounds). This guy impressed the shit out of me. He's got the balls to say out loud what everyone knows, but is too cowardly to say themselves.

As someone who worked in a grocery store during the worst part of the pandemic (yes I do believe it is a pandemic but feel free to think what y'all want) I don't really care about people's opinions on masks but I just wish people would at least be kind to the people working in establishments that are open. I don't know HOW many times I gut cussed out and had my personal space invaded by people upset that they had to wear masks in our grocery store and like bro i'm just a cashier here okay I was told by my BOSS that I was not allowed to check people out if they didn't have a mask on and i'm not about to get fired or reprimanded for you. I was also always asked about my opinion on masks by the people who didn't want to wear one and my response was always the same "It doesn't matter what my personal opinion is because I am at my workplace and am required to uphold company rules so please put a mask on so I can check you out and get the line moving." like I know some people think that "protesting" (throwing a huge temper tantrum) in the middle of a grocery store in small town Texas is some big "stick it to the man" movement but you're really just making the worker's jobs harder and making us want to kill ourselves.

If you want to kill yourself because of a nagging customer, you have so much more to worry about in life lol. That sounds like the least of your actual problems then. My father had a kidney transplant, he ha type 2 diabetes, he's had a heart attack, he's had a stroke, his lungs are cooked. He couldn't even wear a mask for 1 minute without struggling to breathe. Now he barely left his house during the pandemic, but when he had to, he got denied service dozens of times, he's not political, he said he would wear the mask. But he physically couldn't because of his health issues. I can promise you my dad isn't the only person in this country who has health problems. I'd venture to say 40% of this country has health issues. I understand there are people who want to defy the governments rules. And yeah it's probably annoying, but who cares? The majority of these people who made the mask mandate, have been exposed or seen out in public not wearing a mask. Once January 6th happened, Ukraine being invaded by Russia, Uvalde, and all of these other horrible things. These politicians stopped talking about covid, and so did the media. it's just how it goes. The political climate in America is utterly toasted, and I'm not sure it will ever be repaired. I remember when 9/11 happened, everybody in the country was united, no side was trying to blame the other side. Everybody just came together and grieved for people who lost their lives. This country isn't capable of doing that today and it's pathetic.

Okay now I'm fuckin with you. When you asked the guy in chat why he was calling Michael Knowles a clown for just stating what he was getting from your music shows me you have a good moral compass. You could have been equally shitty but used it as a teachable moment, respect.
