Hi Patti, Roo is growing up fast. Now he needs to practice crowing, but it sounds adorable when you hear it for the first time.Beatiful in color &feathers. Now you have to wait and see if the other roosters accept him or going to pick om him. Thanks for sharing the first few crows with us Patti.

Thanks, Francisca. So far, I haven't seen either of them picking on him. I hope that remains the case. 🤔

Can't wait to see the peahen, will she be a blue peahen. How old will she be? Read peahen's lay their eggs on the ground, I think you mentioned you are putting a floor in her home. Will a floor cause her to lay eggs in your garden if she doesn't use the nesting box? This is exciting to me. Have a great day.

Thanks, Claudia. I don't know the answers to most of your questions, but as soon as she gets here, I'll do a video. 😊

If the hen is an Indian peafowl just like ferdinand the female feathers are a mixture of dull grey brown and green ( around the neck area, iridescent). She has no train (tailfeathers ) like ferdinand. She has a crest on her head. She displays her plumage to ward off female competition or signal danger to her young. She takes care of the chicks and incubates the eggs.
