I discover Roo in 2013 and since then I'm a huge fan. I think that he is a great musician that can put so many emotions in a beautiful and unique way , His songs are very curative. I also consider he one of the most originals singers. Thank you for your work.

when i was little i used to play my mom's old vinyl records from the 60s. the minute i was home from school (and often alone) i would be lost in another world. the echo from the speakers and whatever ancient folky tune was playing would sweep me away into all sorts of adventures where i would meet a variety of characters and ne'er-do-wells. I can't remember most of the names of the bands or singers, but they were my constant companions for many years. Donovan was definitely one. So were Simon and Garfunkel, Roger Whitiker, Johnny Horton, and a half dozen Irish traditional bands. This song.... every last note... reminds me of those days. it's not jarring or abrasive, the words aren't aggressive, vulgar or mean spirited. if there's a hidden meaning then it's PROPERLY hidden and you're allowed to make up your own mind rather than being force fed some kind of grand message. if i could have one wish granted i would wish that more songs could be like this. society would vastly improve because music, whether we know it or accept it or not, dictates our moods and feelings. if all you listen to is aggression then you will amplify it. same goes for sad songs, or happy ones. even if there are no lyrics there is a message. In today's music it's mostly a negative one. and it is forced, not at all creative. the subjects are narrow and mostly pointless. i miss having stories sung to me. but I thank God for music apps that let me choose the theme. That's how i found this one and i've played it at least three times today. i can't stomach the mainstream radio anymore. back in the day you could call and make a request. the last time i tried that i was told everything was pre-programmed. so sad what music has become. just another cash grab and a way to manipulate the masses. people have died as a result of these record companies and their contracts, bad managers etc. Billy Squire did a pretty accurate description of the whole dirty business in his song Stroke. i would love to see people throw all of that away and turn music back into art. pay the musician directly for his talent. let the suits and contracts rot.
