Thanks for you explanation, because now I feel I have a much clearer understanding of what’s going on and you’re right, it sounds very clever, and manifests in a way that is very difficult to reverse engineer, because why would you consider an app? Feels like Maxim in that regard.

Hi Roo, wonderful and detailed ❤ christian is a beast 🤩I only have one concern ..is there a lot of phishing and will it be obvious to the spectators if not presented properly? (Btw nothing beats evanescent, what a wonderful routine man hats off ❤)

Hi Jithin! Thanks for your kind words! I love that you are enjoying Evanescent! So I wouldn’t technically call it fishing because it really doesn’t feel like it. If you watch Craig Petty’s chat and performance with Christian, Christian openly states “there was some fishing there” and Craig goes “well it didn’t feel like any” (or words to that extent). The fishing is the engaging part of this. The spectator is engaged. With the binary method you do even less fishing. But as I say this will never feel like fishing if performed correctly. However there is very little chance that you won’t be able to perform this correctly. The only way you could mess up the “fishing” part of this routine is if you tell them exactly what’s going on 🤣

Setting aside the price, would you recommend this to someone who is very new to mentalism? How would you rate the learning curve for a total beginner?

Good question! The app would work for anyone, however creating a convincing performance is something more experience with mentalism will bring. The worst thing a performer can do with this app is to make the process needed not engaging. The app is user friendly but I would suggest something like Digital Force Bag if someone is new to app based mentalism. This isn’t as in-depth as a product like iTHUMP(although it’s has the potential to be further down the line), but it still needs setting up etc. So if that beginner is willing to put that work in, then I don’t see why not

Thanx so much...I have only skimmed the cafe on this , so my question is...For this to work , is there any fishing ? It seems in some of the peformances initially there is some fishing...

Ahhh but there is fishing...Thanx for your answer...I mean , personally I could easily see/tell there was fishing from the performances....Not that it will stop me from purchasing...but its a factor , at least for me... oh and the price is a challenge...@@RoosReviews

@@TheSmikey12000 yep, but if you’ve seen the performances and the “fishing” is the only thing that stands out to you then maybe it’s not for you. Personally the process (fishing implies you have to really dig for information, they hand it over willingly without it being questioned) just feels like it could be cold reading, stock phrases could easily be chucked out to hone in on what you need. Christian performs this like Christian, the worst thing performers can try and do is replicate that. If you can see it working for you, you can easily adapt the process to suit you as a performer. And if the price point is an issue then again it may not be for you. If you want to do what Christian does in the performances then buy it, if not then don’t.

I do have a question for you Roo, I’ve been hesitating on picking it up because I’ve heard it requires the use of the microphone. I perform in some pretty noisy environments and I want to avoid apps that rely on that as a main input method. Can this be done as cleanly without that?

Hi Alan, The Voice Input is one of 5 possible inputs, you may also use it in the filtering process if you wish. However I don’t, the passcode method and subsequent filtering is all done with the keypad (I rarely use voice input in my working environments). Hope that answers your question 🙂

I'm still on the fence. I know they are 2 different effects but would you use this over Wikitest?

They are indeed two different effects. And as such having both I know I have the best of both worlds. Wikitest is still my go to and in a lot of situations I feel it’s unbeatable (especially Auto Pair to Peeksmith as my phone never comes out). However, Enigma as mentioned is like a Swiss Army knife. Christian will be adding in other app integrations and integration with Peeksmith.

How difficult is this?

If you can remember 4 numbers you can do the effect. What will take practice is how to routine the use of the app and and how to make it all flow together. If you’re new to mentalism and app magic this would be an advanced app. If you have experience with magic apps and mentalism, this would be beginner to intermediate.

Nope, that’s the whole reason I started this channel. I started it so that anybody watching didn’t have to sift through loads of bad products to find something good they could add into their repertoire. Hence why I work everything I review and it wouldn’t be on this channel if I didn’t. As mentioned I’m not a fanboy, I own no other Christian Grace products. If you want to see bad products reviewed I suggest watching Craig Petty, Magicorthodoxy or the host of other magic reviewers that may review anything and everything (as it’s usually about the latest release, which is great as folks need to know about it!). I completely understand and as I say the only reason I started this channel was because I was sick of having to sift through bad products on other review channels to find something that would suit a real world performance (for me at least, I know everyone is different). Nothing gets sent from any big companies to me. Sometimes, if I’m lucky I’ll get stuff sent by a creator, but I’m not obliged to review it. I turn down way more stuff than I review as I want the channel to remain at a certain standard. As such you’ll see, I don’t review a new product every week, or even every month (in some cases). This channel isn’t monetised so I make nothing from the reviews. I have less than 2k subs. There are reviewers that have been in the game less time than me and have way more subs and have a monetised channel. But again this channel isn’t about that. I only review the products I feel are worth the attention of the magic community. Yes there are negative reviews on Enigma, I address this in my review. A lot of the magic community want a quick fix or think the trailer shows something it doesn’t (which isn’t the case here). As a working pro, for me, this alongside PA’s is maybe the closet thing to real mind reading as the word does not leave the spectators mind. Will it suit you? 🤷🏾‍♂️ I can only give you my thoughts. Everyone’s performance and experience performing is different I hope that answered your questions 🙂

Sure, there are plenty who bought it and thought it was some miracle cure for mentalism. Some folks mention it on the cafe.
