Thank you for your information, it is very useful, especially there are a lot of people were deceived to change the whole roof and spent thousands and thousands of dollars recently. The terrible thing is , even some inspector, one side working with the insurance company but one side working with the roof people that made a lot of people need to change their whole roof to keep their house insurance.😢

A roof claim will cause your insurance premium to increase for 7 years in my state. I was getting a claims free discount of $306. My claim was denied. By filing a claim, I lost at least $2142. I told contractor I would just pay for a new roof myself. Contractor said he had been in the business for many years and was sure I would be paid for my (so called) roof damage. Contractor lost nothing except my business and his reputation.

If you're shingles are at the end of life and falling apart, you may not have leaks... *now*, but you may if you don't replace the shingles.
