How Good Is It? Roof Tent Review Djebel Extreme Alaska 140TT

asimplyfab.life/ We have been camping out of our Land Rover Defender for the past two years, in various forms: a ground tent, sleeping IN the Defender and now a new roof tent: the Djebel Extreme Alaska 140TT. With this setup you may make a concession or two in terms of interior space, but this is offset against better weather resistance, like rain and heavy winds.
Here we open up the tent, go through all the features and quality aspects, and then close it up and give our verdict. If you are in the market for a rooftop tent (and there are literally hundreds) then this may be a good option, offering good value and premium finishings.

The Djebel Extreme gives a good bang for the buck. We've had it about a year and used it well and, for me, the finishing and materials are far above our old Tentco (although that one is in a different price bracket, video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIqWeHWAat9gl5Y) If you're navigating the minefield of tents out there, this may offer good value (at least, it did for us). I like the quality of the fittings, the ladder is miles ahead, and it doesn't creak when you get in😅. I did prefer the elasticised cover on the Tentco - arguably faster and easier than a zipper but doesn't fit as well 🤔. The Tentco did (does) have one thing going for it and that is that it is far cheaper (which can be an enjoyment factor in some ways 😉). Overall this is a better option if you're touring long-term (winter as well). Cheers for the comment 👍

Love the space in the annexe - especially when it’s a little chilly 🥶 😂 our little self-regulating ceramic heater was a lifesaver when our tent was covered in ice in the Lake District ❤
