do most people play 3 outfielders because they can cover ground or is there a rule to have someone up the middle?

If they don’t play a middle man the pitcher will just get blown up so they play 3 outfielders making players hit the gap .

Any team can enter, they just might get bumped off the list due to priority of conference teams. But conference teams fo pay a large price that covers these events and their patch etc
