They know each other better then anyone..They trust each other completely..They can also vent without having to completely know whats going on or without passing judgment..But they also call each other out on BS..And that's love..True love is not just about good times and laughter but hardships and tears.

I see Nick and Andy as brother and sister also..They remind me of Hailey and Lucas from One Tree Hill..I think the writers putting Andy and Nick together for a few episodes will show Sam that needs her..She makes him want to be a better person without changing who he is..And he is helping her realize that the people who love her (him, Traci, Oliver ect) will never just walk out her life the way her parents (drinking or not) and Luke did..
