Melo is much better than Lonzo in his rookie season, but technically Lonzo is playing better than Melo in his role atm. The thing about Melo is that he has soo much energy and confidence that it makes the others on his team better whereas Lonzo is like negative energy atm with how SVG got him playing, so he has to pray his teammates get into some kind of rhythm for his passes to work out, but it just isn't materializing for the Pels. At the end of the day, Melo has that X factor which makes him a more valuable player, regardless of what his individual numbers look like.

I use yo love watching the Chino Hills highlights back when Lamelo was 15 and 16. Not going to lie, the more time went by I started to get disinterested in the whole Ball family hype. Until this season watching the Hornets highlights on KZbin every night and playing fantasy he's been rising the charts. Looking good so far. He definitely needs to work on the defense though. His three point shot is not a whole lot different than Trey Young or Steph Curry (curry’s is much smoother and cleaner with it though). All shoot one motion from a very low set point. These shots are much more efficient from long range but not good from midrange. A closer to traditional beautiful jump shoot is Kyrie...it is a 1.5 motion. But the real traditional (and absolutely most aesthetically beautiful) are the two motion shots like MJ and Kobe...which are super smooth and adaptable for midrange but require a whole lot more effort from long range.
