Roomba 960 Full Bin fix

The easiest way to fix a bin sensor that keeps going off early or won't stop blinking even after you've emptied the bin

Thank you so much for this video. I was really frustrated with my Roomba constantly saying it was full, no matter how much I cleaned it. But I was stopping at the point you said "most people stop at..." I didn't realize the inside of the bin mattered at all. Cleaned that, and sure enough, the Roomba reported things as A-OK. So thank you!

The best short video on this topic, I've seen! NICE I cleaned and tested the Roomba sequentially until I resolved that the area you're describing was the issue. Your explanation is perfect. Now I understand why the compressed air of the bin seemed to resolve issues though I couldn't see any sensors in there. Duh! Makes sense now. You just saved me a Roomba replacement. Thank you

Thank you for this video. Even though the video is almost 3 1/2 years old, I was able to fix the problem. I watched a couple of other videos before I saw yours but this video was the one that made the most sense to me. I was able to easily follow the instructions in the video and my problem is solved.

Thank you for this! I was about ready to kick mine to the curb. I had the dustbin thoroughly clean, but didn’t check the sensors on the bottom. That solved it!

thanks, helpful tip, in my case the bin cover was lost. to fill the gap between the robot and the removable bin i attached foam rubber on the robot side, than i got the full bin indicator because the sensors were blocked. i removed the rubber that covers the sensors optical line and my robot starts to work again like new.

My issue is Google is saying the bin is full. But the roomba is saying it's not full.

This doesn't solve the problem. The Roomba itself might be cleared, but the app still says it's full.

Excellent information about the infrared sensors. I usually rinse the bin door with our kitchen spray nozzle to clean around the notches where the sensors go and dirt collects.

This is such an annoying “feature.” I always need to wipe my sensors + bin like 5+ times to make the error go away-how clean do they expect it to be? It’s a vacuum cleaner!

I did everything cleaned everything changed rollers (brushes) over and over. Just want to help and advise. I finally after days of taking it apart and cleaning changing everything I thought weel I will just take the battery out and put it back in kinda like rebooting your computer. IT WORKED YEAH So if nothing else works try that
