I love my Roomba 980 soooo much. The mapping is getting more advanced and now gives you a map of your wi fi coverage .

So far so good with this vacuum. kzbin.infoUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.

Bought one today and it blew me away. Cleaned my whole house in a hour and half on one battery I’d recommend this to everybody. Mine is the 960 and I wouldn’t get one without the camera and smart navigation

Hey! Is it still the original battery? And how often do you use it? Thanks!
@OverlandTT4 жыл бұрын
@@peterpestana2722 Hi Peter, Yes still the original battery. I find if it isn't used then it will discharge, however if left for a long 24 hour charge and used daily it comes back brilliantly. I've not tested the run times - but as it stands I've no complaints.

Today, 7/19/2020, QVC has this Roomba 960 for $399.96. I bought it. I have another Roomba that is 10 years old and it still does a great job. I am adding this Roomba so I can get my house cleaned even faster. It is an amazing and wonderful robot.

I'm going to buy it for my mum, who is 73 and has quite a few problems using a regular vacuum cleaner, because she can't stand up for a long time doing house cleaning. It is definitely worth in these cases.

Gotta correct some wrong information. The average lifetime of a Roomba that is well taken cared of (Cleaning the brushes, side brushes and wheel after every run) is about 10-12 years.
@alexgislason33355 жыл бұрын
@J C I sell these robots, I've studied them for hours and hours on end. I've seen what kind of hairs can get tangled on the end of the brush wheels after one run. They slow down the brushes, making the motor work harder and therefore the battery. It takes 2 minutes to clean the machine, it takes a hell of a lot more time to clean the car like you said. It's non-comparable. Depending on the home, you can clean it every other 3 days, but with most american homes that have carpets (and or pet hair) you need to clean it after every run. 95% of the time when a robot comes in for a repair it's because the customers didn't clean the robot frequently enough.

Anyone have the 690? That’s all our budget could stretch to cover. It got up an impressive amount of dust and debris even though we’re very neat and have no pets. However, my spouse refuses to remove his shoes when entering the house and it’s not worth a fight ( any more) When I felt the floor after the Roomba cleaned, there were still some small bits of stuff, not visible, but I could feel it and even get it up with a wet towel. Is this normal? My vacuum wouldn’t do better than the Roomba.

I recently picked up a Roomba 690 and it does a very good job. The dust bin could be bigger but it is great for what it is. The only problem I have had is that never once in the 21 jobs that it has done it will never dock on its own. I must always manually dock it. This does not bother me as I run it daily but only while I am at home. It would not work at all if I was to start it up while gone. It also gets stuck on a "Cliff" about once every time I use it. Overall I give it a thumbs up but it is far from perfect.

Well done video. Sorry you made a joke of the fact that this and other advanced Roomba models send the maps of your home to iRobot as a condition of using many of the most essential features. I love our earlier model Roomba, and it indeed lives up to the hype. But iRobot's intrusion into my privacy is no joke to me, and is a deal-breaker. There are other good options out there.

So the manufacturer has a video showing EMPTY rectangle rooms which is not reality. I have a 2500 sq ft home with a dog and between my 8 dining room chairs and other furniture where it continuously gets stuck, unlike this videos living room furniture that the Roomba can go under it, is not realistic for most homes. I have no carpet. Only tile and hardwood floors but the time it takes me to get it unstuck from under furniture I could have dusted my floors in 10 minutes compared to the time you have to babysit this vacuum. My daughter-in-law almost moves all their chairs and obstacles to another room just to get it to not get stuck and clean well. Way too much effort! Yes, it picks up a lot of excess but it definitely misses so many places and often totally ignores areas (like a large kitchen?!!!). This definitely cuts down on using several dusters, like a Swiffer floor duster, so that is a plus. Do not think this totally replaces having to dust your floors before cleaning them with a mop. Why? Trying using a Swiffer duster or whatever you currently would use, I end up with a lot of remaining dust, hair, dirt. So time spent babysitting it added to the time spent needing to then manually dust the floor before mopping is not worth my time so I only use it in my master bedroom. My dog does not go in there. Also, it sometimes ignores the towers to block access to a room. It is not consistent. Some days it does and others it doesn't. Love the video. You made me laugh!

Husband doesn't want me to spend the money for this. I live in a late 1800's Colonial with wood EVERYTHING, 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 kids at home. Sweeping is a DAILY need. However, I only sweep the entire house about 2 times/week. Mop once a week, and the mopping is usually only in high traffic areas and the bathrooms (3) . In reality, it needs sweeping every MF day. We could probably get away with mopping 1x/week in the fall only. Shit is a real struggle, especially in the NE where I live. 4 Seasons, and all the 4 seasons of different BS that get dragged into the house. Anyway, I'm about to just buy this for myself seeing that I am the sweeper in this relationship. Yo, if I can find a mopping ROOMBA...MY LIFE WILL BE A DREAM. A DREAM!!!!! I work 48 hours/week.. Between regular mother $hit and job $shit and wife $hit my personal self-life is in shambles. I wish I didn't need to spend all my free time keep these raggedy ass wood floor clean. Man Ya'll I just saved like 2 hours commute time, Parking fee, and Insurance Co-pay to just share this here instead of at a professional therapist. It was free. Amazing.

The Braava is from iRobot, the same company that manufactures Roombas, and it mops the floors. I think it sweeps also, but it would only drag the dirt. The ideal Rockefeller combo would be a Roomba and a Braava, you run one, then the other.
