Funny how a company sells SO many of these at pretty expensive prices, yet the guts of their technology is SO old and cheap that everyone has problems with this. If they would have updated a wifi adapter to an AC or AX newer IEEE 801.x technology NONE of us would be having these issues. SHAME, I am about to send mine back for refund.

Hey Lam, I had the same issue. You need to make sure you're on the 2.4 ghz option of your router when logging in. I was on 5 ghz and it kept crashing. Hope this helps!

@@girlypollo it depends on how your router works. I have 2 channels I can login to. One is router 2.4ghz and one is router 5ghz. I’d check your router settings and see

Mesh systems don’t have this option. Trying to switch to 2.4ghz will be a waste of time.

Check your wifi SSID, if it has 2 words in the name it will not connect, connected right away after that.

There is a way for iOS system user and it works . I use an older iPad(mine is iPad2 or iPhone 6 )that can only download older iRobot home version. It works for my roomba 960 .

I have exactly the same problem.Fortunately my Roomba is a relatively cheap 675,so i can use it without the app..Have tried at least 30 times to get it connected,but with no sucsess..So i have given up..

I had the same problem but I resolved by reseting Roomba. Yo have to press the 3 buttons (Spot Home and Clean) and it will makes a sound. Then set up again and works.

Make sure Your ruter set to IPv4. Mine was IPv6 and i was having same issiu and i needed to call internet provider and they switch it to IPv4.

I was having the same problem. After I went into the Roomba app settings, then permissions, then enabled location to "all the time." Fixed the problem.

Didn't work for me. My app permissions already had Locations allowed (my phone doesn't have an 'all the time' option). Strangely, if I start the Roomba manually while I have the app open, it will show 'vacuuming', but when it returns to base the wi-fi goes off again and I don't even get the notification.

If you have a VPN or ad blocking service make sure to turn that off during the setup

My case got solved, I have contacted the iRobot Support and this is what they recommended me to do (I have an iOS): - Get the robot off it’s charging base - In case if the lights are on, press the Clean button for a couple of seconds until they turn off - Press and hold Clean button for 15 seconds until it resets - Restart both your router and your phone Please make sure that your router is compatible with iRobot too. Worked wonders when I lost all hope. I must add that I have tried absolutely everything: reprogramming the router to IVp4, adding a 2.4GHz line, trying on an Android, downloading the old version of iRobot app on an Android, trying on an old iPad, restarting everything and starting over, trying to “debug” all the possible bugs. None of that worked and the only thing that helped was the instruction above. Also, it didn’t work instantly, I had to reconnect twice without a need to restart anything. Now my roomba is up and running. Hope it helps.

At first I had the same problem. I had connected it to the guest network. When I connected the roomba to my main network the roomba could be activated. From that moment on the Roombaa is working like advertised.

Hellôoô I have this problem and i resolved it just with my box. I go to page admin Tape your adress box in your browser Go to protocol connection Force answer to broadcast And valide the wifi roomba103066778 (number can be change) After i restart configuration and it's ok. I'm connected and it's works. Sorry i don't speak English very well 😅
