I hadn't attended the panel so I gave him a hard time about not recognizing that the number was different. He was rightfully defensive and Caiti said it was a SIM card. I actually felt bad for making a joke because it still seemed like a sore subject. A few days later, they said on social media that they were keeping the number alive in a burner phone so people could text them with their hometowns. They put together a map of locations where fans had texted them from.
