RTX 2015 We finally finished enough of the Episode 1 fight that they could show it at the RTX 2015 RWBY panel. It really started to hit me that this was the first convention I was going to go to without Monty. The first several conventions I went to was just so I could meet up and hang out with him. Then I went with him in order for us to show our work. Now I was going without him, to a convention run by the people who shat all over Sheena, kicked her out of the picture, mangled Monty’s vision for RWBY into something else, and… there I was willingly driving there to face the thousands of people who loved Rooster Teeth, who loved Monty, and who had no idea what had been going on. I showed up late. Actually I was just in time to catch them showing Dillon’s and my work at the panel. Everyone seemed to love it. It was cool to see and hear their reactions. Though I wasn’t there for the panel, I was told by people later that it was kind of weird how they mentioned my name, almost in passing, and quickly introduced the new team. After what I had already been through I wasn’t surprised, nor did it phase me. I knew they didn’t want me there. I knew I didn’t mesh well with the new order of things.

Briar Foley actually, I have no problem that he's mainstream. I think he's a good voice actor as well. It's just that I've heard so many horror stories about him being an asshole to con staff/being a creep to his younger fangirls and I'm worried about that attitude being brought with him to future RTXes. You can google "vic mignogna horror stories" and find plenty of examples if you dont believe me.

TentacleDicks I've met him at a con before here in Glasgow and pretty much everyone else I talked to who also got to speak with him and take photo's said he was a genuinely nice guy. I think some people like to spread stories about him because he's quite well known as a voice actor and is known to be a religious man so there's a lot of claims about him being homophobic or preachy simply because he's religious, famous people can be very easy targets for this kind of stuff because the people spreading the rumors are so distant from who they're trying to slander. Think of that what you will.

I have one nitpic about Winter: if shes older than Weiss, then they've been mislabeling Weiss when they called her "heiress" because that term is used to mark the one the child who will inherit the parent's position, in this case ownership of Schnee Dust Company. But the heir is is the eldest child by birthright. The only way this changes is if the original heir has some reason they are deemed unfit to take over or they don't want to, in which case another heir is chosen and (depending on the reason for the switch) the original is usually disowned. If Winter was passed up for some reason or she decided she didn't want it, then this problem goes away instantly, and if this is just them misunderstanding the term then its still just an insignificant problem I can get over.

I have been showing my friend RWBY, and he recently found out about the great spoiler (just who's gone, not what happens to them). He HATES when characters die! I have shown him up to never miss a beat so now I'm staggering him through the rest of volume 3 by showing him panels. Hopefully Miles's message to Juane might be enough to remove him from my friend's hate list, or at least put him under the creator of bleach.

Cue the obligatory equal character demographics representations questions. You can almost feel the judgement from the people asking the question as Kerry/ Miles dodged the questions to avoid potential spoilers. This is a creative work people. Even if they didn't choose to include LGBT characters or curvy female characters- this is their world that they've come up with- they honestly have free reign over those decisions. I'm not saying whether or not they should or shouldn't include such characters, but when it comes to creative works it's honestly up to the creators what type of characters they choose to portray. I'm really sick of this new mentality of: 'Oh you didn't include demographic X? You bigots!" It's like saying Da Vinci should've drawn hundreds of versions of the Mona Lisa depicting women of every race. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against LGBTs and other demographics- but I don't wanna see a curvy or LGBT character added for the sole sake of some sort of obligation to. If you're gonna have a gay guy or a curvy girl please give them a proper character and purpose in the story beyond the fact that: We needed to represent LGBTs and have body shape diversity so that tumblr don't get mad at our lack of 'equality'

I think the thing is that they've said that there will be LGBT+ characters before, it's more of keeping them to there word rather than accusing them of homophobia. I feel like Yang and Blake already fulfill the L and B, but I need to constantly remind myself what is and is not actually canon.
