Root Barrier Installation

How far away from the foundation should it be installed?

If running this along a foundation would it be best to install a 4" drainage system on the foundation side to move water away & out?

When is it too late to install? My Oak trees were originally planted in 2002.

Is it causing any visible damage??

@@priyanshumishra5691 Not sure about the foundation, since I have flooring over it, but I do see a crack diagonal on the top of the bathroom door frame. About 6 inches long. Also, 4 of the neighbors in my section have all had foundation repair work done.
