I made Detroit Style Root Beer Marinated Spareribs 3 different ways. I've seen many people use Coke or Sprite, even Red Pop. I decided to try Detroit's own Faygo Draft Root Beer to add that sweet flavor.
One way was just plane Root Beer Flavor. The other two ways I added some additional flavors to see what would happen.
In this video I used Short Ribs or Baby Back pork ribs, but you can use any style of ribs you like. St Louise style spareribs for example. Or even a good beef rib might work.
Give these Root Beer Ribs a try. They really taste like Root Beer. This Rib Recipe is not difficult however, it will take a few hours to marinade and 4 to 5 hours to bake. You could marinade overnight for a much bolder taste.
I made these on my propane gas grill, but you could also do them in your oven, a smoker or even a charcoal grill.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
