The lubricant is DOLO-EDTA gel which is basically 17% EDTA GEL For canal lubrication, irrigantion (smear layer removal) Hope you got my point Doctor

How come the doctor didn't remove all the decay? It looked like there was some brown parts left, is it normal to leave it or am I missing something? Asking because I am going to get a root canal next week and I am afraid.

The Brown Part is in some cases affected dentin which can remineralise so it is kept to keep sound tooth structure Hope you got my point

Yes Doctor at that time a sufficient instruemenation was lacking so to avoid any unnecesary damage to the remaining tooth structure with aggreasive instruments it was avoided
