Mark Paradies is President of System Improvements and co-creator of the TapRooT® Root Cause Analysis System. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Nuclear Engineering with an emphasis on human factors. Both of his degrees are from the University of Illinois. Mark served for 7 years in Admiral Rickover's Nuclear Navy and was qualified as an Engineer by Navsea 08. Mark has worked with leading companies from around the world to improve their safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability by applying advanced root cause analysis.
After leaving the Navy, Mark was a manager for Du Pont on several process safety related initiatives, including developing ideas to improve root cause analysis.
With Du Pont's permission, Mark started System Improvements in 1988 and has worked to change the way the world solves problems by creating and training people to use advanced root cause analysis systems.
