Not the first time, Rhulk wandered arround during the Armor Breaking Phase, if you're too close, he kicks you into the nothingness. If you're far, he slides directly to you. And in DPS he has a Quadruple-Beam attack

Huh, I've been noticing this watching other playthroughs but this makes it way easier to hear. Bungie definitely used a different mix for this fight than the soundtrack release of Oneirophobia (Nezarec's music). The DPS phase has a different melody (though I do think I like it more), and weirdly enough it sounds like they added on a second outro portion to the song? On that note, I find it weird that they played the original outro bit, and immediately after threw in an amped up version of it. It's almost as if they forgot to remove the first outro and just replace it, because it sounds slightly odd that two very similar Lightfall motifs play one after another at the conclusion of the fight. I'm very interested to hear it isolated, perhaps when Destiny Music Archive uploads the track in isolation. I'm just fascinated by the fact that it seems like Bungie changed up the track before releasing the raid, but after they published the soundtrack.

Bungie has a nasty habit, albeit not a new one, of releasing soundtracks that are super watered down. I think it's why the music channels on YT are saints because they upload the true (and often better) mixes of the in game soundtracks

@@S0M3GUY778 After I did get a chance to listen to the isolated versions as I was hoping, yeah, it's another case of that. I've seen it before, I just didn't expect the difference between the DPS phase in particular to be so different. The First Disciple release last year contained most of the major parts of the song, particularly the DPS, so compared to that this threw me off. It seems like both variations of Oneirophobia's DPS are in the in-game versions. Also that outro at the end actually seems to be tied to the completion of the Raid, not the song, so that's why it plays twice over.

Personally I rather he doesn’t it suits him more with just the angry grunts he makes as that’s who he is he’s angry he wants to cause suffering it’s his one goal. Unlike rhulk who assumed from the start he had already won. Rhulk stops talking at final stand because he realises wait they can actually kill me then tries to insta kill us with pervading darkness

Not as cool as Rhulk. They skimped out in the design, cuz the tormentors look cooler with the fins on their back and the awesome tattered cloth. Also weaker than Rhulk, so why does he get such a cool title to his name 😂 they should have made him more menacing and less like a pear. I still like it overall, but they definitely could have done more with the detail and animation, like Rhulk.

True. I expected him to be way harder than Rhulk, but I heard that this whole expansion was released to fill the gap between The Witch Queen & The Final Shape so maybe it was rushed or something? Idk I still enjoyed it and think this raid is the best looking raid and has the best looking armor too!

Final god of pain: has the health of a dungeon boss God of nightmares: his fight has nothing to do with nightmares It really feels like they made the tormentors first and then reused them as nezarec. Very disappointing design

Tbh yes. Everybody expected him to be much harder and have harder mechanics too. He has the HP of a dungeon boss, I guarantee people will be easily baking and farming him once contest mode is over lol.

You can survive Nezarec by shooting his shoulder to see a blast in either light or darkness. Once you know that, the player running the opposite type will have to go to an already captured node matching the type of the boss and shot it to give your team a shelter buff when you step into it. After that you can continue connecting the things until dps. Eg second shoulder pop is orange, then light chain stops at node 4 for example, uses the buff to shot darkness node 1 or 2 , behind the darkness aura node. Every player can step into it and get a darkness shelter buff to survive the wipe. - Some Reddit thread
