in Australian slang, the term 'Rooted' also means exhausted, fatigued or tired, as in. " I'm rooted.. " or, " you look absolutely rooted.. ". Same with buggered, fcked, knackered or stuffed !

IMO from an Ol Baby Boomer Aussie, Fckd and Rooted are one in the same. As a young bloke you used to go out looking for a Root, ah La A Fck. And after you got one or had one you would be pretty worn out, Exhausted or Kaput./ Not working or doing anything of any use. Capishe 😉 Trust Jasmine to raise the issue. She is a little legend that woman.😘

Hey Jack. I enjoyed your Sunday family out! I truly appreciate that you’re a clever and smart young man with great experience and the benefit of learnings from your Dad and others in your life… I’d like to propose some advice borne from my 50yrs, design and fabrication apprenticeship :) A ‘field’ repair kit… keep tools separate from the ‘repair’ hardware. Make a checklist on the kit (Bunnings is a long, long way away). Vital infrastructure: Solar Panel / Pump controller / Camera mast stations etc, etc - Require purpose made animal barriers and robust cable / conduit protection. Simple preventative measure$ across (your) known critical failure points will cost less than a drum of Plane fuel… Not biting down on you! In my company we worked towards the mantra of ‘do it once, but do it 110%’. Saves having to go back endlessly to fix ‘rooted’ stuff twice, thrice, etc… Old man’s rant over ;) Oh yeah and wots up with Danny, have I missed something? Hope he’s good and happy!! Best!

"Rooted" is also a specific computer systems administration term, meaning that an attack on a system has compromised the root or administrator account. A rooted system is thus one that you cannot really trust and as such needs replacing forthwith, preferably after you've worked out how the attackers got in (or at least you pull the affected system's disk out then rebuild the machine and re-image it).

@jack_out_the_back you can get it from most farm suppliers as a blue power ( i have used ) mix in a bucket and tip it down ( with pump pulled out ) then flush and airlift or let it run to waste tho with your feral animal issue i would airlift less time for water to lay around
