Rooting of Cuttings of Vines in Air and Water

In this video, we will show you another very effective way to root grape cuttings. Rooting of cuttings takes place not only in water, but also in moist air. For the entire time of rooting, you do not need to watch the water level in the cups and as a result you get a 100% result!
We use this method for growing very expensive (new) vines and those that do not root well.

Спасибо за наглядное пособие. Сам никогда не парафинил (но по хорошему надо конечно), а вместо "клонекса" корневин подойдет. Я вообще ИУК купил в хорошем месте и сам свой "клонекс" делаю. Да и без него пускает корни неплохо - это же виноград, а не фундук какой-нибудь. А со склейкой стаканчиков заморачиваться нет резона. Ставить на проращивание пучками (по сортам) в обычные стаканчики с водой, только слой воды должен быть выше первого узла, но не более того. А сверху полиэтиленовый пакет. Как только начинают формироваться корешки - сажать в субстрат, там вырастут.

I start rooting in April, and plant in the ground in May. In October-November, I plant the grown seedlings in a permanent place. The first (signal) berries may appear this year. I plan to get a full harvest in the 4th year (an average of 30 kg per bush). Try this method and you will be convinced of its effectiveness. Peace, health and good luck to you in all your affairs.

Я проращивала виноград проще, просто набрала ведро влажных опилок, в опилки воткнула черенки винограда а сверху надела пакет. Пакет не приматывала, чтоб немного проветривалось но влага не испарялась быстро. И всё, тоже недели через 2-3 они проросли

Попробуйте с китайским одеялом с подогревом, только берите среднее по ценовой стоимости ,чтобы мощности хватало прогреть до +17+19°,вниз ложится пеноплекс ,чтобы небыло потерь тепла потом картон, сверху одеяло ,сверху пленка,после можно ставить ящики пластиковые из под фруктов или контейнеры с торфом с перлитом,перлита на 50 литров торфа хватит полпакета поллитра, можно в подвале где температура +5,-+11°или такая же комната,веранда к примеру.,уже в апреле будут прекрасные ростки, только надо просматривать внимательно корни ,увлажнять раза два в неделю.

I really love the simplicity of the technique. I wonder though after 21 days, what did you do with the wax on top of the cuttings? Did you carefully scrape it off or just left it there😮? Hi moxee I still don't have kiwees although I'd love to. I might buy some this autumn '24 but Have to find, pre pare a good place for it. There are male and female plants. I was told that one male plant is enough for up to 5 - 6 female plants. Over hier, I think a plant costs around 20€ without shipping. About wine seen on the video, I asume it is done In the spring although, as I was a kid, old men did that In autumn but very simple. At that time I did not pay attention about their success. For many years I was looking for an old local sort of wine until couple of weeks ago. The old man told me that he will prepare some for me this autom so, I will give it a try with this metod. I asume that the wine should be kept In unheated room. So much from me. I wish good luck and good harvest.

When did you take the cuttings (time of year)? How long did you soak the cuttings? What was the air temperature where they were left to root? Was it left in a light or dark area to root? What is your typical success rate?

late Autumn or Early-mid Winter. I don't soak but you can put them in a plastic bag and add some water and put them in a dark warm place for 2 - 4 weeks. 1 in 3 make it if you do mass cuttings.. though I just let them find their own way and don't water much and so they brave the Australian summer - flips coin..

yes, please could you answer this? Thank you from the heart! I thought it would be somehow possible - boom and there you are showing me. Cut the wine yesterday - prepared the cuttling - and try to put it in the ground directly tomorrow. I'll seal them with wax now, then the low end will stay in the water over night and tomorrow morning I'll just put them in to earth - I has rained a lot few day ago here in Portugal and it will rain a little bit also the next few days. Fantastic I know the process with the beeswax but not the one about putting the cutting floating over the water I put this into practice and it’s already rooting. I put it on my windowsill to get natural sunlight even though it’s winter here
