How to unbrick your phone instruction: 1. Turn on phone, go to settings ... WHAT?

Guys if this happened to your phone, then you have to put your phone into download mode and download the LG Bridge tool (LG website). Be sure to set the LG driver properties to COM 41. After you click on the software update tab, it will automatically start downloading / flashing. This was the ONLY method that fixed my boot loop bricked LG G4 H-815!

+Zainap Borzieva just connect your phone in download mode. then on your pc open device administrator and then go to COM PORT. there you will se the LG G4 connection. right click, properties. port setting, advance, and then change the port to 41. acept and OK.

kona328WH Actually it didn't quite work. The same old ROM remained for some reason. Though the OTA update now works which is the main thing so all flippin' good!!!

If you get CONNECTION TO SERVER FAILED in the LG Flash Tool 2014, do NOT press OK. You can leave that dialog box open while the phone flashes. This will save you many headaches.

+Rootjunky.com my g4 is the Sprint ls991 version zv6. I would like to root, but the pre rooted system image is built on zv5. can I root with the zv5 over my zv6? if not, can I kdz downgrade to zv5 or zv4 using this method? thank you

it is much preferable to use win7 instead of win8 or 8.1 there is a lot of driver problem with win8 so i tried it on another device and it worked on my other laptop using win7. please don't forget to update your c++

oh my god , thank you so much you truly helped me to unbrick my phone I had unlocked the bootloader via lg devs and flashed twrp but every time I clicked reboot it just sent me back to twrp recovery I thought I'd bricked my phone you are a fucking hero......

Ok FYI to all Verizon users. Verizon lg drivers MUST be used or this will not work and you will get a " cable is disconnected error". Again use the VERIZON lg drivers and not the ones mentioned in the video. thanks

Ah, some people are getting this error msg 'Connection to server failed, try again in a moment' DON'T CLICK OK, the S/W update is in progress just move the window aside and you can see the process is working on your phone. I'm unsure why this error occurs.

What if the phone was never rooted? Mine has been acting up since the latest OTA update and I am wanting to download and reflash the phone with computer. I have already replaced the battery, wiped cache partition, and factory wipe but it still is not working properly. I think it was a corrupted OTA file.

What windows version did you do that on? I did mine on windows 7 , everything was going fine till it reached 99% the phone turned off and never loaded. It was still plugged into the computer , only now it only gets recognized as QHSUSB_bulk with no driver in site for it. It only gets recognized as QHSUSB_Bulk in all of my window versions. I have been trying for days to get the driver installed on windows 7 , 10 and xp 32 bit, but no success at all. I'm at my wits end with this topic . Any help would be very much appreciated.

Firmware site has nothing on it. There's no way to restore android versions if you don't update it or tell us how we can fix it.
