Michelle "s love towards her mother and the mother's love of orchids combined together eventually will bring a new life to your phalaenopsis insolence Nina.

Director Jose 😍💐 hola, amigo! I have to tell you that, my daughter's first question was 'no terminal spike?' and her face lit up when I showed her the 2 new roots and new leaf! It truly was a special moment, and I am going to treasure that little moment in time forever! Now, there is still work to be done with the original Insolence, but IF , IF she cannot grow that one root because there is no more energy left in her, then I am grateful for the 2.0! Thank you so so much for watching 🫶🏼 I hope that you had a wonderful Thursday ❤️🌸

Hi Nina! There still may be hope for Insolence 1.0 with that possible root trying to poke through! I am so glad 2.0 is in your care and may it bring you and your daughter beautiful blooms for years to come! 🥰

Hi Michelle 😍💐 I am not giving up... that root attempt is a nice thing to see, but then again, is there enough left in the orchid to actually grow that root? We shall see! Meanwhile, thank you, once again for making 2.0 happen! Yes, she looks tired, but that garden centre thinks it is ok to charge full price for orchid in that condition. I was not going to make a fuss! My daughter... her eyes lit up when I showed her. Her first question was, no terminal spike? 🥲 I showed her the new roots, and the new leaf and she was just ... happy!! Thank you, Michelle, so much for not only the 2.0, but there was a special moment between my daughter and myself that was priceless, and all thanks to you 🙏🏼 so so appreciated 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️🌸

🌸🥷🏼Sharon San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 good morning!! I am on the fence, because... the reality is evident, it is NOT looking good. However, she has not left the premises and won't leave until there is definitely nothing left to do. We shall see 🥹 hakuna matata! I have a 2.0, and if OG sticks around, then... 2 is a charm 😃 thank you so much for watching 🌸🥷🏼! Hope you had a wonderful Friday and I wish you a beautiful Saturday! Hasta mañana 🫶🏼❤️🌸

Good luck rescuing your first phal! I really think that bulge is a root- I have two orchids in ICU now using the same set-up and am noticing some new roots! Hooray!

HI Pat 😍💐 welcome! I have not seen you here before, so a warm warm welcome and thank you so much for being here, I so appreciate it!! Also for watching and wishing me and my phal well 🥹 If this root can push through and this orchid doesn't decline after all, it will be a first time ever success story with the sphag and bag method. You have 2 in this set up and are also noticing new roots?? Hooray indeed! That is awesome! It gives me hope for mine, and well.... I hope there is enough left in her to make it happen 🤞🏼 hope you had yourself a wonderful Friday! and once again, welcome 🫶🏼🌸

No mine didn’t work neither it just went all horrible throw it in the bin got a new one so that’s the end of that. Hope you’re to recover because it’s what your daughter bought you. Oh well I just have to wait-and-see. Thanks for the video been waiting to find out what happened to yours never mind we try these things and see what happens but it just seems such a long wait. Hope you’ve had a lovely day. Been a lovely day here today some nice sunshine put some more plants in the garden outside because the squirrels kept going in the bakery in all his stuff so he can’t do it now. Goodbye squirrel. I’m good by Nina. We will catch you very soon❤❤😊

Andrea, hi 😍💐 such a shame that things don't always work, even when we see others have success with different methods. But, as you say... one just has to keep trying and then wait and see 🥲 meanwhile I have a 2.0, and I hope to do right by her as well. You had sunshine!! I had rain and it got very cold tonight. I have orchids inside again, just for the night... crazy!! I am glad that you had sunshine though and that you are able to put some more plants outside! Awesome 🙌🏼🙌🏼 thank YOU so much for watching, lovely lady! Have a cozy rest of your evening ❤️🌸

One of my Phals is a keiki of a Phalaenopsis with a terminal spike, the keiki developed from an axillary bud of such a round leaf sitting on the remains of the terminal spike. I would expect Insolence 1.0 to behave the same way - if it grows new roots fast enough. Keeping flower spikes is a huge complication though. In my very limited experience of bringing rootless Phalaenopsis back to life, I kept it for about a month upside down under a powerful LED grow light in a plastic decorative pot put on the heating with leaves partially submerged in distilled water. This setup is impossible when flower spikes get in the way. I would only try to keep daytime maximum inside the bag above 25°C, which may be a challenge during the current stretch of cool weather. Hoping the best - orchid rescue is so fulfilling and success so precious.

HI Ilja 🤩💐 welcome! I have not seen you here before, so first of all a warm warm welcome and thank you so much for being here, for watching and for your comment 🫶🏼 I am so torn as to whether I should cut the spikes. I have heard over and over again that there are energy reserves stored in them, and cutting them could deprive the orchid of the nutrients stored in them. I have no scientific proof that an orchid actually absorbs the nutrients from a spike, or if it just deteriorates without any nutrients flowing back to the orchid 🤷🏼♀️ also, I was hoping for a possible keiki from any of the nodes that are on the spikes, and what you say about your experience with the leaf on the spike, that a keiki came from there... that is super interesting. When it gets a little warmer, I will bathe the orchid again in CalMag and seaweed. Unfortunately, I cannot afford electricity for the orchids. I cannot use my supplemental lights anymore, it is not feasible for my current financial status. 🥲 today the temperatures dropped radically, so my plan for a soak tomorrow is not happening. I will keep trying until there is nothing left to work with 🤞🏼 thank you, once again, for watching, for your tips ... they are very helpful to have as an addition to the information in the comments! I hope you had a wonderful day, and ... welcome 🫶🏼🌸

poor Insolence. She's definitely trying to make a root and if she can make a root, she can at least start absorbing some water. Never a guarantee they will survive, but there's definitely a lot more hope when a root emerges than when nothing happens. Very nice of Michelle to get you a 2.0 should 1.0 not make it. And if 1.0 makes it, all the better I guess.

Don Miguel 🥰💐 hola jefe! I know, right? 🥲 I would have no issue with 2 of them. OG and 2.0... with that color... hakuna matata if that should one day be a reality 😅 and, it would be the first time ever that I managed to bring a phal back. But, that is early days! While I am happy to see some movement at the base, I am not sure how I am going to feel if she totally collapses before the root can function. We are not there yet, soooo 🤫🤫🤫 thank you so very much for watching, my friend! I say it! I mean it! You are so appreciated 🫶🏼❤️🌸

🦒❤️🌹 So glad you have Insolence 2.0 and so sorry to see the original one go down so quickly. Coming to think of it, the fact that she has a terminal spike should be no reason to lose roots that fast. That nubbin may well be a root but I wonder if it has the strength to pierce the leaf. Cutting off the leaf to make it easier for the root to continue growing? Just a thought 💖💘💖💘💖💘

Hey Nina. If I had this issue, I would put her in a pot with some sphagnum and keep it damp now that you are going into the warmer weather. Those that I have had in this situation have come back. Especially with her attempting root growth. Of course put her in the same spot where she has been. 😊 Just a suggestion of course. ❤🌸I have never been successful using the bag method.

🌸🥷🏼Trish San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼♀️🥰💐 good afternoon, Orchideen Freundin und Schwester! Oh dear.... I hear what you are saying, and if I had the humidity it would be a recommendation I would happily follow. However, I am concerned that I would risk more dehydration because of the ambient air being so dry. While today it rained, it has also gotten cold, Tolumnias are inside, but that doesn't mean that the coming weeks are going to be this humid. I could put a plastic bag over her? Maybe? I need to think about it, because I do not want condensation to drip into her crown, ... but... you gave me food for thought! Thank you so much 🫶🏼 I shall stand in front of her tomorrow and ponder, think of the measures I could take based on your suggestion 👍🏼 thank you, also, for watching! I hope that you are already home, and getting a head start to a wonderful weekend being the awesome 🌸🥷🏼 that you are 🙌🏼 ❤️🌸

@@NinjaOrchids the humidity in my living room is similar to your outdoor… usually hovering around 30% highest on the growing season. Especially as I keep my windows open for much of the spring and summer. Something to add to your pondering 🤔

HI Blais 😍💐 so far... since this video aired, there has been no further developments. I wonder if there is any energy left in what remains of the orchid 🥹 I don't want to just rely on the 2.0, it would be nice to save the OG as well. Still, it helps to have the replacement for any 'obvious' eventualities. Thank you so much for watching 🫶🏼❤️🌸

HI Trudi 🤩💐 welcome! I have not seen you here before, so first of all, a warm warm welcome and massive thank you for being here, for watching the video and commenting... thank you 🫶🏼 I have shied away from cutting the spikes, Trudi, because of the supposed nutrients that are in them which the orchid could absorb while dealing with other battles. Now, I do not have scientific proof that an orchid absorbs nutrients from spikes, but that is one reason I am shying away from cutting them off. Also, I am always hoping that maybe one of the nodes on the spikes may be the source of a new keiki. I thought for a moment there, she started on one, but that aborted. So... yeah... while it would make handling the orchid a little less cumbersome, I am reluctant to cut them off for those reasons. I hope I do not end up regretting that decision 🥲 so kind of you to leave your suggestion. I am sure that if anyone looks to the comments' section for more information, your recommendation will help a lot! Thank you! Hope you had a wonderful day, and once again, welcome 🫶🏼🌸
