Namo Shakyamunaye Buddhaya 🙏 I am an Indonesian Buddhist novice monk. Thank you for reminding us through this video to do whatever we can to protect the inheritage of our Great teacher, including the physical stuff from the past that bring our memory to the Teaching of the Buddha. Where is this museum located? Is it in Singapore?

1. Before Greek the presence in South/Central Asia, there were no statues or artwork of the buddha. 2. Greek philosophical schools like Skepticism, Stoicism, Epicureanism were based on, or influenced by buddhism.

It is not known as GRECO ROMAN art ! unless some new fanciful western narrative is taking place ! It is referred as INDO GREEK ART or GRECO BUDDHIST art. It is a result of synthesis between the art forms of ancient India and ancient Greece due to Greeks and many Central Asian tribes invasion and assimilation in Indian subcontinent and civilization. Also the GANDHARA civilization is one out of 16 ancient Indian Maha Janapada civilizations traced back to 7/8 th century BC. Over time ruled by different kingdoms including INDO GREEKS. By 3rd/4th century AD Gandhara was almost at its end cycle we believe.

You need to understand that India prayed to Shiva or pashupati God before aryans. Ghandara was a Buddhist area ,that's why whole of Pakistan and Afghanistan have hundreds of thousands of stupas. Nalanda and taxashila were Buddhist. India wasn't India at the time.all these characters from mahabharat are indo European characters. From indus down to sri lanka was shaivites. Buddhism was spreading rapidly when the Greeks from Alexander's entry , and win against porus took place. The dharma wheel is none other than the Sudarshan Chakra. Krishna from vasudeva clan already passed away. And this wheel symbol was on the flag of porus's army. Krishna was a statesman and pastoral farmer. Porus lost obviously and became a vassal for Alexander. It was Greeks that gave Buddha a face by erecting statues. That underwater drowned city is a Buddhist city.not Krishnas dwarika.

Krishna was a dravidian and a shaivite. And lived about 2.500yrs ago. Mauriyan empire got bramins to compose vedas puranas, mahabharata into writings and books. That's why vedas only talk of greek gods like indra etc. Later years chapters were added as history changed. These.books were a last.ditch effort to.stop Buddhism. So you see all this history took place about 2.5 thousand years ago. 😊😂

Buddha was an Indian prince. What in the ‘fatherfackinfuvk’ do you mean “if you look closely he’s not very Asian looking” 🗿 North Indians have aryan features too, it’s not exclusive to Europeans only

unfortunately Singapore still failed to distinguished group of people due to its past Malaysian delusional governmental influence, they even think Chinese, Indian, (and idiotly Malay) are the whole races of humanity meanwhile all of those group are Asian racially, Malaysia and Singapore can't differentiate what is differences between "nationality", "ethnicity", and "race" respectively

You do not talk facts my friend. I think you need to read more. Nobody can talk about Gandhara without talking about the Mahabharata, personalities like Panini, Patanjali and Kautilya/Chanakya. Alexander entered Gandhara yes but there is no proof he conquered Gandhara in the sense of the word conquest'

@@jayantkamble6082 No he was not mongoloid by any means, he was a Hindu prince kshatriya and looked like typical north Indian upper caste. Nepalese mongoloid popl was in hills and unlikely to have contributed to his future kingdom

@@abhinavgokhale6917 First thing I never said he was mongolaid. He might be mixed caucasian+mongolaid as most of himalay people are and some of bodily features of gotama buddha matched with mongolaid people like yellow skin etc. Secondly, he was not hindu.

@@jayantkamble6082 How did they match exactly? Do we have a skeleton of him? No. Just because there are statues of him looking Mongoloid doesn't mean he actually was. There are statues of Korean Jesus and Jesus with Hazel hair doesn't mean he was Caucasoid or Mongoloid he was Semitic. You have to apply logic as to where his grassroots were, not what his statues looked like. And yes by birth he was Hindu kshatriya, Sramana teachings were not common among royalty. And even on his deathbed he admitted supremacy of Vedas soooo....
