The picture quality on this was better than the first v 8 video. I am intrigued by the “brick wall” mapping.

This looks great, I will really take advantage of this. One question. I try to use "Historically Accurate" names, however when geocoding these locations, it can be a pain. I would like it so that a place can have an additional field that has the "Historical" location while it still has the "Standard" name. Most of my ancestors come from border areas that have switched countries routinely, and it's important to know where it is specifically, and what the place name was at the time. I would like to use either or both location when creating a report, while also being able to map the location.

I hope you add historical name fields (more than one; place names change all the time) and maybe a beginning and end date for that name. (Such as when county, or even country, names changed.)

Outstanding user efficiency changes in v8. Citations-huge positive changes with footnote edits in templates. Tasks-great consolidation by repository/place for the research trip. Places: is it always a default to add United States to places within? Can that default be changed? Or should I be looking at a benefit of having the US as default? Really excellent changes!

Did you finally addressed the bug on decimal point coordinates? In the current version, if your computer's regional settings is set to use a comma as decimal separator (as usual in so many countries), the mapping fails completely.

I see no option to switch to Aerial view which is very useful when geocoding and it looked like the Place Detail selected during the video was recorded in the database as a Place? maybe I'm wrong or missing something. I believe a Time Slicer like available elsewhere is much needed rather that manually building Groups and refresheng them for particular time periods.

Will RM8 be able to deal with places below city level, e.g. hamlets, farms or cemeteries?

Question: How much RAM will you need to run large personal genealogy files on RootsMagic 8? RootsMagic7 runs slow when working with a file with over 3,000 names

That is a feature which I do not think I will make use of 80% of my family came from the same city in Scotland,
