Big fan of a pull line on poles. Safer / more efficient and allows hinge to be less than perfect.

Very nice, video was well edited, the climb was well thought out and executed smoothly as if with no effort at all. When I climb I sound like an obscene phone call.

so good ! looks like a beaut tree to climb. i'm still fairly new to rigging big, it looked like when tip tying the logs you did snap cuts rather than face cuts? also, is there any reason you didn't take the lower limb off to start with?

Nice job! I know you have to edit these videos for brevity but I for one would love to see it in its entirety, the "uncut" version so to speak. I know it'd be a long video but seeing every detail start to finish would be very cool! The lil' Husky seems to eat through the oak like it's butter, pretty impressive :)

Did you think about speed lining this tree. Seems like it was a good candidate
@BradfordElliott2 ай бұрын
I had the same question, but could only speculate he wanted to take big pieces and didn’t feel like Speedline could handle the load?

That was a serious piece of work. I hope you all were well compensated. Fascinating to see it all from the first person viewpoint showing the rigging process in great detail. No words necessary.

In fact learned the timber hitch with long tail from you. 4 big red pines next week will put us over 30k for the year. So far with a bunch more to go. I’m sure that’s Pennies to alot of guys but damn good extra money to me for a job that is awesome and addicting. Thank you for the education Mr masterson keep it real sir

How much would it cost me to get all new gear? Harness, Ropes, Gaffs, New Climbing saw, big ground saw, big shot, throw line throw ball, hand saw...... Ext.... The feeling of accomplishment from hard work? I feel a conflict, "here," are two different schools of thoughts one is just wait and conserve the other is work hard and it is your liberty is this politics? Also oppression, verbal oppression. This laundry machine keeps stopping and somebody can control it with a cell phone program, an app on a cell phone.....
