One thing I failed to mention that I unfortunately didn't notice until I was done with the editing process: Darrow compares Roque to Eo on the bridge of the Colossus. He ended up comparing him to four Reds not just the three that I mentioned. Lysander to me is almost an even more fleshed out version of roque and it's exciting to see if he'll go down the same path or be able to change. Also you make the best red rising content on this site I really hope you make some more videos. No rush though

Don't really think so after light bringer. Roque actually cared about his friends. He was raised to believe the racist shit of the society and he never really saw the dark side of it. Other golds that helped darrow had very personal reasons to do so. I firmly believe if he lost someone to the system he won't have betrayed darrow. Added to that the horrible way darrow (unknowingly) treated him in golden son, him understandably blaming him for quinn's death it's pretty understandable why he did what he did. I am not condoning his actions but can understand his motives. Lysander on the other hand is a little twat who cares only about becoming sovereign. Roque would have never killed cassius. That little shit had no reason to betray anybody he betrayed. Roque had a really valid reason for his betrayal

@@PeerlessScarred i would say Liria. She’s so little compared to everyone else that it’s just interesting to see how she survives. I do not like Lysander. Unlike Roque, he’s just not interesting. I always wanted to know more about him. Although not exclusive of the second trilogy, I LOOOVED reading Virginia

Your efforts in producing this video are very much appreciated. Rogue is one of my favorite early characters in the series, with his cerebral and calming influence on those around him. With his story arch being so tragic in its way, his ultimate loss by his own hand in defeat to his once loved friend sets an ever growing and recurring tone of regret felt by Darrow in later books. That you held my attention for an hour is bloodydamn prime work.
