Absolutely great video! Thank you! So great to see and hear Eric Burdon... The Animals were one of my favorite groups back in the. 60s. We Gotta Get Out of This Place was the MOST popular song in Vietnam while I was there. Every band in country played it at the EM Club at least once every night. There would be a riot if they didn't! Just recently discovered Rory Gallagher (thanks Ken Bruen for the tip & KZbin for the exposure). I'm 76 years old and I thought that I had heard all the greats... boy, was I wrong! This guy was phenomenal. Tremendous guitar player and singer. Just wished I knew of him earlier. I love discovering a new writer or a new rock group - especially from the 'old' days when music was music. I put Rory up there with the greatest... and by greatest I mean Jimi, Janis, Moby Grape, Jefferson Airplane, Blind Faith, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker,Cream, the Kinks, and Jim Morrison. I also need to include the Animals in that group of GOLDEN AGE greats. Rory, you belong with these guys! I guess it's never to late to teach an old dog new tricks. In contrary to many other electric guitar virtuosos Rory Gallagher was also a master at playing acoustic guitar and he was a great singer as well. The fact that he is not as famous as others is mainly because he refused to release his music on 45rpm singles.
