What a gift this cat is to the world. Love you Rory. Saw you last evening at Robert’s. What a pleasure it is to hear and watch you play.

I was the pastor for Rory and his family in the early 1990's. Rory and his 3 siblings are all great musicians. At that time Rory could play about 17 instruments well enough for church services and school programs. For worship services Rory played piano. If we sang a song he didn't know he would say "take off, I will catch up" and before the end of the 1st line he was with us anticipating where the song was going.

Hello i would like to ask a question if i may. I was sent to work in Lemon South Dakota back in 2008 or 9 is hard to remember now. But anyway i had enough time to meet some of the folks up the and one who stands out in my mind would have to be Rick Hoffman. Rick told me stories about his life which was fascinating, the music that man wrote and could play had an Essence that country music lost a long time ago. And it's so good to see his nephew Rory doing good in his musical Pursuits and Courier! My question is someone told me that Rick has written some songs that it became famous and he lived off royalties checks by any chance do you know which songs they were Rick could have been lying to me but he did tell me he sold one song to David Allen Cole was known as the ride. Is there any more? Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't call it a disability. He's probably a better musician because of it. Without a doubt the most talented musician ever.

Rory is amazing. Every time I go to Nashville I make it a point to see him play. You can catch him nearly every week at the Palace and sometimes on Broadway.

Well i mean if you look at a dulcimer thats just how you would play it, i have one myself and playing an instrument like that is quite comfortable and works out quite well when you have trickier chords or melodies. Either way, what a man.
