Saw Rory play many times but the best was always New Years Eve in the City Hall in Cork. Always opened with Going to my Home Town.. Absolute magic!! RIP Rory and Maggie..

@CMT Yeah, would definitely have to agree. Maybe Rory just practiced his ass off from a young age out of respect for/because he was so in love with all the great music he obviously adored and wanted either to be able to emulate it and/or do his own thing down the line. Anyroad absolutely brilliant musician however he got there. As for being able to change a string without stopping a song have you ever heard such ridiculous bollocks in all your life? Maybe unbeknownst to the rest of us the big guy in the sky also gave Rory an additional pair of invisible hands.

Robert Wright jaysus never heard that about changing a string, I did see him down in Cork one time and dropped his tuning a whole step and didn't stop playing singing and being the general charmer he is. Regarding this guy ridiculing God given, it's a saying meaning he was born with an ability, no question of it
