@ymarrero23 Allow me to give you an example of how people have different perspectives on "fun" : Once a girl in my classroom ,who I have known ever since I was 8 , snuck up behind me in as I was talking to my friends and punched me in the ribs ,not girly playful punch actually painful punch, I screamed at her (I'm usually a quiet person and I don't get angry easily ) ,and she ran away scared ,and then she told me that it was "fun" . Her definition of fun left a huge painful bruise on my side for weeks . My definition of fun is talking with my friends or having a nice walk ;her definition of fun includes bodily harm. And frankly if someone pulled something like what logan did in my classroom ,especially if the teacher is someone I admire , I'd be really pissed too .

I love how Logan's friends became Rory's friends and that they all stayed friends even after Logan and Rory broke up. Colin and Finn, were better than Lane and Paris because they brought out Rory's fun and adventurous side.

I think they were not Rory's friends but Logan's. They'll show up only if he was around. They would get along with Rory being her Logan's girlfriend. Rory was never a good friend to neither Paris nor Lane. I think Rory was most of the time a boring and selfish character who was lucky to meet interesting guys who for unknown reasons liked her back. She never really showed an interesting trait. We can tell that Paris stands out and Lane is into music. Lorelai herself is very funny but Rory looks to me quite plain. She loved journalism but we have never seen her made a passionate speech about it. She didn't even know who Logan's father was which is kind of weird if he is truly so famous and if Rory is really a nerd

But generally speaking I agree that none of the characters of the show ever showed real friendship that we can find in other shows. Friendship was not a relationship that was very digged. Rory was never shown suffering for a friend's problems or truly enjoying for a friend's success. But also she had only 2 close friends

All I actually see is Rory explaining to Logan her own personal motives about disliking the way he acted, and him not actually listening and understanding that it did upset her and in her eyes it was wrong. You can clearly see his 'good' intentions, but for Rory it was not the right way, but throughout the scene he just keeps on misunderstanding her.

Basically a string of somewhat deserved insults capped off at the end with the only insult to which the guy actually objects. Wonder if that scene from Star Wars is in any way an inspiration for this scene in Gilmore Girls.

what I hate most about their argument is that they are both right. Rory is right that it belittles the whole, ideal purpose of college, but Logan is right that he could just set up a meeting with them, it would be that simple, for him, but just because his social connections belittle the personage of the people he could set meetings with , it doesn't change the fact they have interesting things to say, like the professor said, it is alarming to see so many similar patterns show up in different cultures that had not historical contact with each other, but then Logan's right with its direct relevance to your life, like Dee said in Its Always Sunny about the news "oh no Dennis look, nuclear program develops in syria, wow my life is going to change drastically". though if you are smart you can use anything, like the scene when Rory read the newspaper wedding veil that Lorelei was wearing and said "wow this arms race with Putin is really ramping up" and you probably could have predicted the war in Ukraine because if you focus on your nuclear arsenal then you neglect your militia. Rory should be right, Logan is actually right, but just because you can manipulate things doesn't mean you understand it, or its potential, being a good driver doesn't make you a good mechanic, or that you are probably brainwashed by your father to focus on partying over education so you never get ideas of your own to get your own career, and if you anchor your self esteem and identity to partying, then you would be stuck in business to maintain the clout that cant be replicated in other industries. so ya, Logan is right, but its also exactly what his dad wants him to think, that his money is greater then their smarts, very comforting and a great way to keep him under his thumb
