But also subtly hints at the darker implication that he is using his status to not only have multiple women but to monopolize them away from other men in line with the overall themes of privilege in the show.

I love Robert too but I think this little thing between went just far enough :) It it went any further it might have complicated their (absolutely precious!!) friendship later and that would have been a shame. This way he stayed nearby as an hilarious and clever friend. And he served his purpose: he was meant to show Logan that Rory was desirable by others (and not just anyone - someone well off, clever and his friend) and that he needed to close the deal in order to keep her. His jealousy showed him he wanted something exclusive and prepared him for the choice even before Rory gave him "the ultimatum". I personally think he might have even pondered about him and Rory being exclusive before she asked, that's why he felt so cornered but also decided quickly 😏

Let’s get one thing perfectly straight: there is nothing cute or adorable or romantic about jealous Logan. The guy proposed a casual relationship because he wanted to date other women, and then got jealous and pissy because he saw her with one other guy at a party. That’s selfish, childish, controlling and just downright borderline abusive. People like that are toxic no matter the sex or age.
