They're right. There's no rap superstar in this era and I truly think those days are done. There won't be another HOV, Drake, Kendrick, Nas, LL, BIG, Nicki Minaj, 50, etc. The talent is just not there and then the business is not incentivized to push talented rappers and the A&R's are not there to give talented rappers the correct beats and hooks to make hit records. HOV and Ja needed Irv and Dame. Biggie needed Puff and the hitmen. Tupac needed Def Row. Drake and Nicki needed that Wayne co-sign. Right now in music it's the wild, wild west. I asked my homie what record from the current crop of niggas will we remember 10 years now and we couldn't think of one. If I hear the first ew seconds of big pimpin my head is bouncing up and down. That's a 23 year old record.
