Sara Choi its still debatable whether yg told her to do that or she chose it for herself one thing for sure tho she’s still improving and experiencing different singing techniques with different songs she sings (we don’t get to see a lot yet you know its yg anyway) I don’t see any problem with her hitting high notes in this song with her falsetto and head voice I also like her nasal sound it fits most of blackpink songs where she sings mostly in her midrange she sometimes sounds like she strains her voice because the problem with nasal voice is it gets slender as it gets higher and somewhat sounds forced she needs to learn how to control and flip technique when hitting those kinda high notes where falsetto shouldn’t be used just yet one last thing she is FAR from “can’t sing” she’s already got a unique and beautiful voice regardless of which technique she uses (sorry its a long ass comment lmao)

Rosé said on their Netflix documentary that whenever she sang someone else song its like she borrowing the emotion of the song and make it hers, she put herself into the situation where the lyrics of the song are meant to be...this is why Rosé become one of the amazing vocalist, not just unique voice but she can delivery the emotion of the song just by hearing to her sing even without me knowing the language..i hope one day she release her own original song where she expressing her own emotion...just like Teddy said, she already has the song prepared but shy n not ready to expose it..
