Gosh it’s incredibly refreshing to hear a jazz video game cover that doesn’t sound like an artificial jazz video game cover. Like the respect to the music, and the jazz culture is paramount. Kind of gives me vibes of someday my prince will come, probably because it’s also in 3/4. Absolutely amazing work! Edit: lol it literally says in the description that it’s inspired by “someday my prince will come” which is probably my favorite standard.

Nice catch on the SMPWC connection. 8-bit music theory did a whole ep. on this tune and how it is somewhat 'Disney-like'. Glad that we are reaching a point where our young jazz stars today are doing with VGM what the stars of the past did with Disney and other pop tunes.
