Hey Ro, for the Kool-Aid cotton candy at 9:00, I did a bit of looking around (since I was surprised sugar wasn't an ingredient). Turns out sugar *is* the first ingredient in the barrel shaped ones ("canisters"), but *not* in the ingredients at all in the packets (like the ones you used), because the directions tell you to add sugar. Maybe the other type of kool-aid would work?

The most surprising thing to me is that the colors of the candy often didn't come out in the candy floss. Would love to see you do this again at Christmas time with different Christmas candy - like old fashioned ribbon candy.

The color is for that shot glass size of candy, since cotton candy blows up about 20 times the size you have to add more color. And some times they only color the outside of candy making it whiter.

One thing I feel would be interesting to see Ro try is dehydrating popsicles and using the then-dried popsicles in the cotton candy machine. Most are made of mostly sugar anyways. So I don't think it would be all that bad (unless you include the cream-based ones like Creamsicles. Those might just smell burnt). Also, the Kool-Aid didn't work because you're supposed to add the sugar yourself with that stuff. It's become such a health risk that those Kool-Aid packages have been BANNED in Canada... 2-4 CUPS of sugar per package. So stores here are not allowed to sell them anymore because of it. Plus it's not really worth it to get such a tiny package of (essentially) just flavoring that you have to add sugar to yourself when every other company (even store brands and other off-brands) already includes sugar in their products.

I love root beer so that would be my favorite. When I was a young child, my parents would take my sister and I to an A&W root beer stand and we would get root beer floats. I love the taste of vanilla ice cream and root beer soda. Unfortunately, that A&W root beer stand closed many years ago. We would travel about 45 minutes in a 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 convertible to get the root beer floats. What memories.
